The Pipedreams Soraya is a magic herb mixed with the finest oriental tobaccos mixed with sweet Virginia ready rubbed tobaccos and chocolatey Burley. As a salt in the soup, a touch of Perique and Black Cavendish is added to the magic pot. The mixture presents itself medium-strength, with a large range of taste nuances, which always changing leading into a closed taste image. Spicy, ethereally fresh and at the same time pleasantly sweet with chocolaty and peppery background notes. A blend that can be enjoyed without further concentration, but which can also be worked out to the last nuance and is never arbitrary. A blend that brings out the sensuality of oriental tobaccos.
Characterisation:
From the round tin of the Pipedream Soraya a sweetish scent rises, which is more reminiscent of dried fruit rather than chocolate or even pepper, but it is not unpleasant. In addition, a very slight smoke mixes under the aroma, which betrays the used Oriental. The tobaccos are rather narrow and medium-long cut, predominantly light and medium brown with some dark brown and few gray brown fibers in between. Since the tobacco feels a bit pappy between the fingers, it can be pre-dried briefly before being stuffed.
Plugging:
The Pipedreams Soraya is loosely added to the whistle, as usual for loose mixtures, and filled up with increasing but still gentle pressure until it ends with a little firmer pressure.
Light up:
Due to the residual moisture content, the Pipedreams Soraya may require two or three flames until the tamper has created a smooth surface for a permanent ember bed. But then the smoldering tobacco barely needs more attention.
Smoking properties:
The Pipedreams Soraya is above all a mild-spicy tobacco, which behaves cool by the used Oriental and shows a smoky rather than ethereal character. In addition to a toasted bread note in the background, the flavor tastes delicately sweet, chocolaty and feels more like cloves, as it is reminiscent of black pepper, which is not a disadvantage. Overall, the aroma appears discreet and serves more to round off the basic tobaccos. This is still noticeable until the second third of the filling, then the basic tobaccos are gently intensified again, tenderly tart, before the pipe goes out. Since only a few fine light ashes and only a little condensate remain behind, the cleaning is just as easy as the course of smoke.
Redolency:
The scent of the Pipedream Soraya is influenced by the contained Oriental despite the aroma, so that the tobacco is more suitable for smoking society.
Conclusion:
The loose mixture of predominantly light tobaccos of Pipedreams Soraya exudes a sweetish, slightly smoky fragrance, which at first does not remind of the aromas used. Even in the cool smoke, the Oriental dominates with mild spice and some toasted bread. The aromas of pepper and chocolate are more supportive of the underlying tobaccos with a gentle sweetness and some additionally clove-like spiciness, which does not necessarily give the impression of smoking a flavored tobacco. The Pipedreams Soraya is so suitable for those who do not expect a sweet aromatic, but do not want to miss out on a little extra spice. Due to the relatively easy handling also beginners get along with the Pipedreams Soraya.
