Manufacturer Description:
The basis of this delicate flakes is a mix of golden and orange Virginia. This tobacco will seduce you with its natural, complex sweetness and hints of lime. A flavour of meadow honey and fruity orange flatters your senses & your tongue and spread a wonderful smell!
Characterisation:
The Golden Flake lays in clean slices accurately stacked in the box. It has a rich texture of brown and exudes an appetizing aroma of sweet orange oil, apricot and mirabelle. The tobacco itself is not to smell. The flake is almost perfectly conditioned and can be removed and plugged directly from the tin.
Plugging:
Due to its just right humidity the Golden Flake can be folded and placed in the pipe easily. But the preparation as a mixture, rubbed into smaller pieces is possible and can open up new flavors. As with all flakes it should not be stuffed too tightly. Pressed Tobacco tends to rear up under the heat of the ignition flame. Are there plucked off tobacco residues, they will - added to the filling - accelerate the adoption of the fire.
Light up:
The Golden Flake is very easy to ignite. One flame is sufficient. Maybe a little flattening with the tamper and the flake burns until the end!
Smoking properties:
The Golden Flake is to smoke as simple and straightforward as it is to plug and to light. Without gargling, without biting on the tongue or going out the flavor is to taste: light sweet and reminiscent of marzipan like other well-known honey aromatics, thereby playing into rather fruity, what is actually reminiscent of the specified orange flavor. The Virginia is also more spicy than sweet, which is harmonizing pleasantly with the sweetness of the flavor and again and again there will be interesting peaks of Virginia more like grass than hay. A quite varied smoking experience, in which end only dark gray ash is left. One might almost be tempted to save a cleaner - if you wanted to do this to your pipe...
Redolency:
The room note of Golden Flake is pleasantly sweet according to the manufacturer's specification and will hardly be disturbing in society.
Conclusion:
The Golden Flake is a red-brown flake tobacco that has been made accurately and provided with an appetizing, fruity fragrant aroma that is pleasant to taste, but giving the tobacco room to tast too. Its easy handling, the straightforward smokeing properties and its average strength make the Golden Flake a perfect flake on which beginners can try. But its variety of flavors has a lot to offer for also experienced smokers. That it can be smoked iin a casual way makes it a tobacco for every occasion and every day.
