Manufacturer Description:
Best, handpicked Virginia tobaccos and high quality, double fermented Black Cavendish. An unusual combination of granules and Wild Cut ensures a very loose Mixture. Natural fruit flavors round off the tobacco to a harmonious taste experience. Luxury quality for the highest demands.
Characterisation:
Since the Sunday's Fantasy is packaged in a pouch, it is good to take it on the way, if you want to store the opened tobacco for a longer time, so it should be transferred to an airtight container. The Sunday's Fantasy is a mixture of dark brown broad and rather short cut tobacco fibers and strikingly large golden yellow leaf-flakes; in some cases larger leaf components can be recognized. Due to the rough cut, as well as the sweetish scent of the Sunday's Fantasy reminds of fruit tea. Especially with raspberries and other red fruits you feel reminded. Since the tobacco looks a bit sticky when loosening up, you should allow the Sunday's Fantasy to pre-dry for a short time before plugging.
Plugging:
Due to the rough cut, the Sunday's Fantasy feels a bit unwieldy while plugging, but it can be plugged like a loose Mixture, if you measure your force. The most even burn is achieved when you start loosely down and end with gentle pressure.
Light up:
Even when lit, the coarser structure of the tobacco fibers is noticeable. So the Sunday's Fantasy expands under the first flame and needs the smoother use of the tamper and one or two more flames to create an uniform glow.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of the Sunday's Fantasy is lush, strikingly soft, mild and at most medium-bodied. But is still tobacco spicy, with aromas reminiscent of toast and hazelnuts. Harmonious with these natural flavors produced by the basic tobaccos and the palatial-caressing smoke, the aroma is combined with its unspecific fruit sweetness that pleasingly rounds off the whole. In between you should press the embers on the tobacco to ensure an uniform burn. The resulting bright, powdery ash reminds us to be careful so that it is not unintentionally blown out of the pipe. Also, some condensate is formed, which does not make cleaning very demanding.
Redolency:
In the room the sweetish aroma mixes in the tobacco smoke, so that one can smoke the Sunday's Fantasy in tolerant company.
Conclusion:
The somewhat inconsistent cross-section of the dark brown and golden yellow tobaccos of the Sunday's Fantasy requires care in handling. But rather light tobacco offers a lush, soft smoke in which mild tobacco spice combine with roasted aromas and the fruity sweet aroma, without one of these directions would dominate. This makes the Sunday's Fantasy for lovers of aromatic Mixtures as at least uncomplicated, but not boring tobacco for every occasion, which is absolutely worth the effort of preparation.
