Manufacturer Description:
Classic pressed flake with the special scent of rich, distinctive Erinmore-aroma. Carefully prepared according to an old Irish recipe.

Characterisation:
The Erinmore Flake is a very clean and rather wide cut Flake, which is stacked accurately in the tin. The tobacco disks present themselves marbled evenly golden, brown and dark brown. Even if the manufacturer does not specify this and the smokers are arguing about that: many think Erinmore Flake has a pineapple flavor and actually it smells of pineapple, with a woody scent of tobacco in the background. The flakes are well-conditioned, flexible and easy to fold. Shortly before smoking it´s good to allow it to dry, so that they lose a bit of moisture.

Plugging:
The Erinmore Flake requires some care when plugging, it does not like it being stuffed too tight or too loose. The easiest it can be rubbed and smoked as a mixture. If you want to  fold it, one should be careful not to plug too tightly, the compact flake tends to expand when lighting. The plucked off residues as top layer facilitate the lighting.

Light up:
Again, the Erinmore Flake requires the attention of the smoker. After the surface was evenly set on fire, one should smoothing it with the tamper before you are carefully lighting  up again. Nevertheless, it may happen that the Erinmore Flake suddenly goes off while smoking. Practice makes perfect here.

Smoking  properties:
The Erinmore Flake should be smoked slow, attentive and not outside in the fresh breeze. Otherwise it tends to gargle and to get hot, which is no benefit for the tongue or the taste. It is particularly recommended for relaxed hours that provide the time to enjoy the dense creamy smoke that has a delicate nuttiness, as well as a subtle sweetness, fruity, lemony, perhaps actually the legendary pineapple ... The tobacco is substantial, both as regards the nicotine content and the significant strength - it fills you up and is therefore suitable to finish off a good meal. From time to time it can go out, but it doesn´t looses its flavor when relighted. It preserves its fruity, but never intrusive flavor until the end and remains just light gray ash with a few dark tobacco residues. Although the flavor does not seem pushy but it makes for some crossover, which makes it advisable to reserve this flake an own pipe.

Redolency:
The room note of Erinmore Flake is genuine of tobacco, but slightly sweet and is not necessarily bothersome in society that tolerates smoking.

Conclusion:
The Erinmore Flake is a very clean made and packaged flake. Its uniform brown tones and pleasant pineapple scent act as high quality too. And that it is. Though not easily to smoke. The Erinmore Flake wants to be treated with care. Plugging and ignition takes time and also the smoking experience should not be done casually, as the flake gargles if smoked too hasty and is getting hot. Those who observe this will benefit a creamy rich, strong smoke, the nutty Burley paired with fine pineapple sweetness. Experienced smokers will know to appreciate it after dinner in the evening, but also beginners who are curious about these classic, will learn to cope with it, if they take their time.
