Characterisation:
The Connoisseur's Choice is a Mixture of various tobaccos in different cut: Thick-featured and medium mixtures and broken flake. It’s very colourful from golden yellow, red to bright brown up to darker brown and black. The tobacco smells like fruit-liquor with a sweet undertone. The fresh mixture feels slightly dampish, but handling is without any problems. 

Plugging:
Due to the different cut it’s a little bit tricky to get a homogenous mixture of the tobacco in to the pipe. It’s recommended to twist liberal portions with a little pressure between the fingers and put it, now fluffily, into the bowl. That may require some practice, but it’s worth the effort. At the end some little crumbs should be used to make it easy to light up the tobacco.

Light up:
In spite of the different cut the Connoisseur's Choice could be light up well. Against one’s expectations it doesn’t tend to streak up very much, but therefore to die down after a few draws. But with a second flame, after flattened with the tamper, a constant glow should be achieved.

Smoking  properties:
The taste of the Connoisseur's Choice is definitely aromatic, whereby it’s more tangy-fruity with some sweetness in the background. This tobacco needs some attention and under no circumstances it should be smoked too hot, because then the aroma gives way to an acidly taste, which bites displeasing on the tongue. But due to the cut the mixture burns slow by itself and the aroma stays constant nearly to the end. While glowing down the Connoisseur's Choice is pleasing light and mild. In spite of the heavy aroma the tobacco produce only moderately condensate and glows down to a medium grey, a little bit grainy ash. 

Redolency:
The redolence is sweet, but unobtrusive. Now the vanilla aroma comes to the front, whereby the fruity flavour soften the sweetness. The Connoisseur's Choice is a typical tobacco for societies, and smells as many people expect from a comfortable pipe tobacco. Therefore the acceptance should be given for nearly any society.

Conclusion:
The Connoisseur's Choice is a mixture of different cut tobaccos in a colourful combination with a fruity-sweet flavour. With some attention it develops to a typical aromatic smoking pleasure, which is nearly constant to the end. Only then the taste of pure tobacco eliminates the flavour a little bit. The handling is a little bit tricky, therefore the smoking properties are excellent. In spite of the heavy aroma the tobacco doesn’t produce too much condensate and glows down to a medium grey and grainy ash. As an aromatic mixture this tobacco is full socially acceptable. Because it’s light and mild, it’s recommended for beginners as well as enthusiasts of fruity-sweet mixtures.
