Manufacturer Description:
Mixture of handpicked Carolina Bright, Old Belt Virginia, Kentucky, Black Cavendish and a hint of Latakia from Syria. Loose, easy to plug, exceptional cut with gently burn and elegant room note. Soft and cool smoke with subtle tart-nutty flavor.
Characterisation:
The Smooth & Cool Zeppelin is a light to medium brown mixture with a few sprinklings of black. Tobacco is cut into long, wide fibers and smells of dried apples, apricots and sweet alcoholic - typical Latakia is not to smell, just as little as a nut flavor. The tobacco is somewhat damp, even almost a little sticky, so it is advisable to let it vent before smoking a good half hour.
Plugging:
The Smooth & Cool Zeppelin is like any mixture best stuffed down loose and becoming tighter upwards. More must not be kept in mind in order to achieve an even burn.
Light up:
The Smooth & Cool Zeppelin is fresh out of the can a bit damp and requires a prior slight curing. Even then it may be necessary giving fire again several times and gently smoothen the filling in between with the pusher in order to achieve a uniform glow. But if this is achieved, then the Smooth & Cool Zeppelin burns even until the end of the filling.
Smoking properties:
The Smooth & Cool Zeppelin developes a very lush smoke which as its name suggests actually really stand out for its coolness. It is not very strong, but in addition to a slight, bitter smokiness it will surprise the novice with a flavor that has nothing to do with nuts, but is actually considered by connoisseurs as "soapy". This tone varies interestingly enough in its intensity and will irritate the occasional smoker. Whoever engages in it - you like this flavor or not - can experience a whole new type of tobacco. What remains is medium gray ash and little condensate.
Redolency:
The room note of Smooth & Cool Zeppelin is tobacco genuine and could therefore be bothersome in society.
Conclusion:
The Smooth & Cool Zeppelin is a rather bright Loose Cut with a few black tobacco fibres. With a drying phase before and a little care when lighting the Smooth & Cool Zeppelin burns evenly until the end and does not burden with excessive strength. In fact, the rich, creamy cool smoke betrays little of contained Latakia. But it surprises the novice instead of the expected nuttiness with a interesting perfumed note, which is appreciated by connoisseurs as "soapy". If you are curious - and you can be that - then this tobacco is well suited as an introduction to this direction.
