THE BRITISH BULLDOG
The English or British Bulldog is an old dog breed that developed in Britain in the 16th century, for the once popular ´sport´of bull-baiting, which was abolished in 1835.
In 1878 the Bulldog Club was founded, the oldest single breed specialty club in England, promoting a Bulldog that was friendly and a perfect family pet and show dog.
The British Bulldog is one of 4 national animals that represent England or the UK, and has been associated with Sir Winston Churchill. It stands for the Bulldog spririt and is the official mascot of the US Marine Corps and serveral US universities.
Fab Diamond, seen on the right, has been the official mascot of Alfred Dunhill´s White Spot division since 2010.

This White Spot pipe has been specially manufactured to honour the British Bulldog, one of Britain´s four national animals..
This pipe, a Billiard in group 4 (4103) in Bruyere finish, is fitted with a hand-sculpted Sterling Silver Bulldog head windshield and engraved band.
Each pipe is accompanied by a matching Bulldog pipe tamper exquisitely crafted from Briarwood & Sterling Silver.
