Manufacturer Description:
Exquisite leaves are refined with fresh mandarin and old Benedictine brandy and matured in the press for up to three months. First cut into tobacco cake and then into small tobacco cubes, each "truffle" full of flavor is a single delicacy and specialty for the gourmet.
Characterisation:
While the Danish Dice in the Pouch is good for takeaway, the larger tins are recommended for longer storage. If you open the packaging so immediately striking is the unusual cut. The small, granular cubes are of medium and dark brown color and tend, as it easily happens in such a small-scale cut, not to disintegrate, but are not too damp, but just right conditioned. So you do not have to let the appetizing sweet fruity scented tobacco dry before plugging.
Plugging:
The plugging is very easy. Due to the small-scale cut, you can simply let the Danish Dice trickle into the pipe, whereby you should only take care to gently press, so that not too large air holes affect the subsequent burning.
Light up:
Surprisingly, the cubes – probably because of the larger surface – take the flame well, so you should use the tamper only for safety after the first flame to straighten the surface a bit. The second flame then produces a uniform glow until the end of the filling.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of the Danish Dice is quite spicy, but it is mild and soft on the tongue, like a good brandy. The roasted aromas, which also attract attention, are reminiscent of orange biscuits with their gently sweet, slightly citrus-like notes. The tobacco also looks a bit nutty and thus offers a varied flavor. This is accompanied by the aroma until the last third of the filling and is then not significantly spicier. Also noteworthy is the remarkably calm and cool burning, which is probably due to the Cube Cut, which ensures that the tobacco glows slowly. The remaining dark gray ash and the hardly existing condensate make the cleaning very uncomplicated.
Redolency:
The redolency of the Danish Dice is for tobacco, but mixed with the sweetish aroma, so that it should not attract attention in tolerant society.
Conclusion:
Despite the unusual cut, the Danish Dice is easy to handle. Both the plugging, as well as the lighting succeed - also thanks to the cut - very simple. The following burning is very smooth and even and delivers mild-spicy and fine citrus-sweet aromas that, while attributable to the aroma, do not drown out the underlying tobaccos. The mildness of the tobacco, its simplicity and the moderate strength make the Danish Dice quite suitable for beginners. But these, too, should appreciate this finely-composed tobacco, because it is excellently suited to be slowly puffed in a big pipe, not only casually but also with relish.
