Golden Virginia tobaccos with a generous proportion of Latakia, topped off with a floral oriental and somewhat smooth Black Cavendish. Spicy and deeper flavor, smoky character.
Characterisation:
Inside the can of The Apéritif you can see a mixture of bright Virginia, brown oriental and almost black Latakia. The individual tobaccos are cut into about 1.5 mm wide, longer fibers. They are looking quite moist but not sticky. The smell is intense smoky and influenced by Oriental and Latakia.
Plugging:
Despite of the humidity the tobacco can be plugged immediately and without problems. It should not be plugged too loose, proceed as this will detract from the pleasure of smoking later when you have to pull too tightly and getting the tobacco too hot.
Light up:
The The Apéritif is very easy to ignite with 1 to 2 flames. It´s not necessary, but you can smooth the surface gently with the tamper for optimal results.
Smoking properties:
Smoking The Apéritif is right for casual smoking but its better to enjoy him as he deserves. While Virginia and Orient give creamy delicate notes and the Cavendish provides soft sweetness the Latakia offers a lush and spicy smoke, which blends harmoniously into the overall picture. Although its name suggests otherwise, you may not choose to smoke these rather strong tobacco on an empty stomach. Maybe after a typical English high tea, which provides some basis. Heat and condensate hardly begin to develop and the tobacco does not need relighting it also. The tobacco glows constant without loss of taste to the end and leaves only powdery fine, almost white ash.
