Manufacturer Description:
For the Black Edition Bentley processes only hand-picked tobaccos in limited quantities. The Trafalgar is a loose mixed cut, grounded in Black Cavendish, with conspicuously soft aromas in the bouquet and smoking pleasure.
Characterisation:
The rectangular, black box of the Black Edition Trafalgar has a clear, technical design, reminiscent of a Bentley bonnet. Since the lid can be opened with a hinge, one should transfer the tobacco in an airtight container for longer storage. The tobacco is indeed additionally packed in a sealed bag, but this can not be sealed again. The light, dark and black-brown tobacco fibers are very broad cut (about 5 mm) and exude an intense, penetrating sweetish scent, reminiscent of exotic fruits, especially pineapple. To let the light moisture dry, you can take the tobacco out of the pack some time before smoking.
Plugging:
Since the Black Edition Trafalgar has an unusually wide cut, you should take some time while stuffing, as the fibers can be somewhat unruly. Above all, you should be careful not to make the pipe too full, as the tobacco rises under the flame. Otherwise, you can plug the Black Edition Trafalgar as usual with loose mixtures, becoming softly tighter while reaching the top.
Light up:
As the broad tobacco fibers of the Black Edition Trafalgar rise under the first flame, gently push them back with the tamper and give fire again evenly. Thereafter, the tobacco should make no further problems.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of the Black Edition Trafalgar is soft and very mild, almost cool. The strength is moderate and nobody needs to be afraid of tongue-burning. Also, the tobacco does not tends even with awkward smoking not to gargling. To taste first is the manufacturer's unspecified flavor, which appears clearly sweet and fruity. As in the cold scent, the aroma is reminiscent of exotic fruits and suggests mango and papaya, but especially pineapple. This fruity sweetness will last until the last third of the filling, before the tobacco gets a little spicier before it goes out. What remains is a medium gray, coarse flaky ash and for a heavily flavored tobacco very little condensate - so little work in the cleaning.
Redolency:
The redolence of the Black Edition Trafalgar is clearly marked by the aroma sweet and fruity tinted, so that the tobacco in tolerant, non-smoking society can certainly meet with approval.
Conclusion:
The Black Edition Trafalgar is a Mixture of mainly very broad cut tobacco fibers in light and above all darker browns. In addition to the wide cut, which requires some attention in the preparation of the pipe, the intense sweet-fruity scent is outstanding. Who expects a corresponding taste, will not be disappointed! The Black Edition Trafalgar with its exotic fruit flavors is ideal for lovers of sweet Mixtures and is recommended for beginners due to its rather moderate strength and gentleness.
