Manufacturer Description:
Brigg Pipe Tobacco is made according to old recipes and the latest findings from golden Virginia tobaccos from Zimbabwe and Brazil with Cavendish on the basis of nutty Burley. The Brigg-blend is based on yellow to golden brown Virginias from Brazil and Zimbabwe, slightly double fermented Black Cavendish and Burley, processed using traditional methods. Medium-bodied blend, full-bodied and mild-tongued, with the flavor note coco-pineapple.
Characterisation:
If one chooses the Brigg C.A. in a pouch, so you can pack it in your pocket and take it with you. If you want to store the tobacco longer, so you should pick the larger tin. The Brigg C.A. is a Mixture that is evenly composed of light, medium and dark brown tobaccos. The fibers are rather short and wide cut, some are almost leafy. The fragrance is indefinably sweetish, maybe a bit exotic, and if you rub the tobacco between your fingers, it looks a bit damp, so you can let it dry before smoking.
Plugging:
Since the Brigg C.A. seems a bit damp, you should be careful not to fill the pipe too tightly. Starting loosely down and becoming (softly!) tighter going upwards, is at loose Mixtures, such as the Brigg C.A., always a good idea.
Light up:
If, after extinguishing the first flame and gently smoothing with the tamper, firing is given evenly again, attains for the Brigg C.A. a permanent ember that lasts until the end of the filling.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of Brigg C.A. is very rich for a flavored tobacco and initially looks natural. But in addition to the smoky, spicy aromas is a gentle, but not necessarily exotic nuttyness and especially if you keep the pipe cool, a fine sweetness to taste, that reminds of pineapple especially when you expel the smoke through the nose. One should the Brigg C.A. do not smoke too avid, because that fine aroma disappears and the tobacco can become a bit snappy. Considering this, the Brigg C.A. pays this attention with a remarkably quiet burning, little ash and hardly any condensate, so that the cleaning is as easy as smoking.
