Manufacturer Description:
A balanced mix of Black Cavendish from Africa, Europe and the Philippines, as well as exquisite Virginia tobaccos from Brazil and Africa. The Kentucky Bourbon whiskey matured over eight years gives this Mixture the characteristic, full-bodied flavor.
Characterisation:
Whoever buys the Bronze in the pouch, can take it everywhere with him. If you want to store the tobacco longer, it should be poured into an airtight container or buy the larger tin. The rather short and narrow cut tobacco fibers show the color spectrum from light to medium to dark brown. The scent is intense, warm and sweet and reminiscent of fruit bread, perhaps also on sherry casks, in which the flavoring Kentucky whiskey was possibly matured. The Bronze is firmly pressed in the pouch, but can be loosened up easily and does not seem too wet.
Plugging:
When plunging the Bronze one should take care not to fill the pipe up to the top, as the tobacco can rise under the first flame and then trickling in burning crumbs over the edge. Otherwise, the tobacco can be stuffed according to the usual scheme "down loose and above tight".
Light up:
The Bronze can be reliably ignited with two flames. After gently smoothing the tobacco that has risen under the first flame with the tamper, re-ignite evenly and you can sit back and relax.
Smoking properties:
The more careful preparations reward the Bronze with a creamy-soft, but at the same time spicy smoke. This spiciness is not tart, but of the mild variety and accompanied by a fine sweetness in the background. With its flowery, almond-like flavors again makes think of the aforementioned sherry casks, in which the used Bourbon was allowed to mature. This aroma lasts until the last third of the filling until the spicier basic tobaccos stand out more clearly. The remaining ash is fine and light gray, but some condensate remains, which is not surprising in a flavored tobacco.
Redolency:
The scent of the Bronze is despite of its flavor rather for pure tobacco, so the Bronze should be smoked only in tolerant settings.
Conclusion:
The Bronze evenly changing in the different shades of brown is a finely cut Mixture. The sweet-warm fruit scent that flows from the pouch reminds of sherrycask-ripened Bourbon whiskey. While the preparation requires some attention, the tobacco smokes uncomplicated. The aromas are not necessarily alcoholic, but mild-spicy, with a fine sweetness and the sherry bouquet is found in the smoke. A blend that is actually reminiscent of a Kentucky Bourbon and yet not so intense that it kills the basic tobaccos. Lovers of aromatic blends that prefer natural flavors will find Bronze a good tobacco for every occasion.
