A mix of three hand-blended mixtures. Gold-yellow truffles, 2 x 2mm cut, serve as a flavor balance for the slow, quiet glow. Deep dark leaf from Dark Cavendish and Old Belt Virginia is loose cut to 2.7mm. Refined with fine nuttiness this mixture offers an extraordinary taste experience.
Characterisation:
The interesting, dark - except for a few bright sprinklings - mix of cubes and truffles and loose, wild cut-like tobacco is hidden in an octagonal jewelry box and packed again in a golden bag. This is unfortunately not very resistant to tearing or even resealable, so that one should prefere to transferre the Danish Truffles Mix to a tightly closing container for longer storage. This meets to the rather dry consistency of the tobacco.
Plugging:
The Danish Truffles Mix can - despite of its unusual mixture of components - easy plugged, like any loose mixture: begin loose at the bottom and tighter going upwards.
Light up:
When lighting it turns out that the tobacco is not as dry as thought. It needs quite a number of flames until it glows evenly. And the use of the tamper will be done with care, pressing out the delicate glow is made too easy. Once set evenly on fire it will not cause no more problems until the end.
Smoking properties:
The Danish Truffles Mix is not a high-aromatic. The pleasantly tart sweetness and subtle nutty flavors could also come from a natural tobacco, such as a Burley originate. However, you should not chase too greedy for the flavor – there will be no more and also then the tobacco tends to bite the tongue. The Danish Truffles Mix smokes like a wonderful natural tobacco, while the nutty flavor is retained until the end of the filling - well and evenly with no surprises. The medium gray ash with a few unburned particles and for a flavored tobacco little condensate keep cleaning effords low.
Redolency:
The smell of Danish Truffles Mix is weakly sweet and could be perceived as unremarkable in society as well.
Conclusion:
The Danish Truffles Mix is a dark mixture of cubes and wild cut tobacco, which provides a slow uniform smoking experience. The used aroma of nuts is pleasantly understated, never intrusive and always consistently with no rough edges. In fact, you might think to smoke a natural (Burley) tobacco, which is just buiting if smoking too hard. Aside from requiring a careful lighting, a good tobacco for smoking by the way. For beginners, for every day and thanks to the elegant packaging also suitable as a gift.
