Manufacturer Description:
…Robinson played the notorious gangster and anti-hero in "film noir" movies and was a fascinating figure in American cinema of the 1930s and 1940s. Gaining fame as the power-hungry slob and gangster, Edward G. Robinson led the life of a sensitive art enthusiast and avid pipe smoker. In its varieties and contrasts Edward G. Robinson's life shows similarities to "Edward G…Ready Rubbed Flake". Gaining a tartly sweet character, the dark and pressed Red Virginias of assorted provenances have been finished with a little Perique and Brown Virginia. A touch of Kentucky tobacco gives the blend that extra something. "Edward G…Ready Rubbed Flake" captivates by its natural sweetness, which makes a mark on it without dominating.
It is a blend just as distinctive, complex, interesting and multi-faceted as Edward G. Robinson's life and work .
…distinctive, sweet, fascinating.

Characterisation:
After opening the plastic cover and the press-lid, the original Warehouseblend Edward G surprised at the can into the can. The tobacco is described as Ready Rubbed, but also some curlies (flakes of tobaccot he shape and the size of a cent coin). The well-rubbed fibers are evenly golden, medium and dark brown, the curlies are sometimes darker and sometimes brighter marbled. The sweet scent reminds of dried figs and apricots. The content of moisture acts well. To fill the curlies no more humidly than the rest of tobacco into the pipe, the Original Warehouseblend Edward G can be allowed to dry briefly.

Plugging:
The Original Warehouseblend Edward G should be cautiously plugged due to its different components. The curlies can be somewhat crushed and crumbled, and of course you should not fill the pipe too much or even stuff it too tight, since compressed tobaccos need space to expand.

Light up:
As with the plugging, the Original Warehouseblend Edward G should be carefully lit. For an even embers, the surface is smoothed after the first flame, as the tobacco rises by the heat, and then carefully lit again. If this is done, the tobacco burns uncomplicated until the end of the filling.

Smoking  properties:
After the careful preparation, the smoke is very cool and creamy in the first puffs, and carries mild toasted notes. In further smokeing the intensity of the Original Warehouseblend Edward G increases, then the Kentucky gets spicy in the foreground, which can be quite peppery on the tongue, but should not be confused with tongue bite. The clear spice of grassy notes and a certain fullness, which reveals the included Oriental, is accompanied, even if its content according to the manufacturer is rather small. The burning is good, despite the Curlies not too indolent and leaves only fine lighter ash and hardly condensate, which are easy to remove.

Redolency:
The smell in the room of the Original Warehouseblend Edward G is due to the spicy tobaccos of Kentucky and Oriental not suitable for non-smoking society. But the strong Original Warehouseblend Edward G does not lose its flavor even in the fresh air.

Conclusion:
The Original Warehouseblend Edward G is a sweet smelling, brown shaded Ready Rubbed, in which some Curlies also hide. Plugged carefully the tobacco developes interestingly in the pipe. From mild roasted notes, the bow spans over peppery spices to heavy, grassy aromas, which show the many used tobaccos. This flavor spectrum, the more elaborate preparation, as well as the strength of the tobacco, which is not overwhelming, but always present, recommends the Original Warehouseblend Edward G for more experienced smokers, who are willing to admit the developments of a tobacco and not only smoking by the way.
