Characterisation:
If you open the round tin with additional plastic cover you can see that the Original Warehouseblend Balkan Passion is a Mixture that is fine, frizzy and cut slightly longer. The ingredients of the Mixture are predominantly very uniform almost black and medium brown with lighter proportions, which intermixingly dissolve. The scent is sweetish-smoky and slightly piercing in the nose, as usual by Latakia. The moisture is good, but it does not damage the tobacco to dry before the plugging.
Plugging:
The Original Warehouseblend Balkan Passion is easy to plug. Like any Mixture, you should push it down in the pipe loose and getting tight upwards. It does not require any more to ensure a uniform burn-up.
Light up:
The Original Warehouseblend Balkan Passion can be ignited with just one flame, press gently with the tamper, then the tobacco burns reliably to the end.
Smoking properties:
As promised by the manufacturer, the Original Warehouseblend Balkan Passion turns out to be powerful in its lush smoke. Above all, the Latakia is smoky and with a certain gravity to taste out, the Oriental, whose juicy, grassy notes harmonize well with it. The Virginia used has a taste rather in the background and rounds the edges of the tart Oriental tobaccos with roasted aromas and sweetness completely in the background. If the Original Warehouseblend Balkan Passion is smoked too violently, despite of the not to be underestimated strength, you run the risk, that the pipe gargles. Is the pipe kept cool and in the middle of the smoke the tamper is used once, so only powdery, bright ash and only very little condensate is left in the pipe.
Redolency:
The room note of the Original Warehouseblend Balkan Passion is tart due to its abundant content of Latakia and Orient and is not necessarily pleasant for non-smokers, which is why the Original Warehouseblend Balkan Passion should rather be smoked among like-minded, alone or in the fresh air, where it does not runs “out of air”.
Conclusion:
The Original Warehouseblend Balkan Passion is a Mixture that is already oriented to lovers of the rather strong, English tobaccos because of its dark color and the autumnal smell of Oriental tobacco. Despite the simple preparation, the Original Warehouseblend Balkan Passion is not necessarily suitable for beginners, neither for newcomers of the English tobaccos nor at the pipe at all. For more experienced smokers, the Original Warehouseblend Balkan Passion offers powerful flavors of spicy smoke, juicy grass, but also roasted notes and a subtle sweetness, which make this tobacco suitable for all smokers who have a heart for heavy English tobaccos.
