Manufacturer Description:
The common passion for good tobacco has made Rainer aka Raiko and me good friends. So of course it was obvious that Rainer finally created his own tobacco. The result is really fun - Chapeau Rainer !!!
Luxurious, opulent and with a touch of decadence - this is ChocoLat! Nearly half Latakia are accompanied by very high-quality Virginias, Burley and not flavoured Black Cavendish. A subtle cocoa flavor complements this supple enjoyment without excessive sweetness. Deep and dark, pleasant and chubby like a good "stout" ... ChocoLat - also a pleasant companion to a dark beer.
Characterisation:
The cutting of the InBeTween seems a bit inconsistent, as blackish-brown, rather short and narrow fibers mix with dark brown very broad and long fibers, interspersed with light brown flakes. The tin emanates a dark earthy scent reminiscent of forest soil and moss, which is pleasant, but hardly lets think of chocolate flavors. Since the tobacco is firmly pressed into the tin and the cover paper has wet spots when opening, one might assume that the tobacco is a bit too humid, but the paper seems to have absorbed a large part of the surplus, so that only half an hour of pre-drying is sufficient.
Plugging:
Despite the different ingredients, the InBeTween can be well plugged with some attention. If you start loosely down and become more firmly upwards, you will get a filling that keeps the embers well until the end.
Light up:
Only a gentle pressing with the tamper is needed after ignition, then the InBeTween burns easily to the end.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of the InBeTween is cool and mild, but not without spice, which can sometimes stand out stronger, but without becoming too strong. The Latakia is always present, with a creamy incense note, which, however, rather reaches more in the spicy, as in the ethereal direction. Overall, the composition is so balanced that one can not quite say whether the soft sweetness, that one tastes, comes from the aroma. However, the InBeTween seems not chocolatey - the toasted notes are more reminiscent of biscuits or sweet shortcrust pastry. Only shortly before extinguishing the aroma gives way to the tart tobacco flavors, when after a completely uncomplicated burning only fine medium gray ash and hardly any condensate remain in the pipe.
Redolency:
The redolence of the InBeTween is a mixture of tobacco and sweetness, so that in tolerant society it may not necessarily attract attention.
Conclusion:
Despite the inconsistent view of cuts, the InBeTween is relatively easy to plug and above all very easy to ignite and smoke. From beginning to end, the tobacco convinces with a very harmonious combination of flavoring and tobacco composition, so that the borders between artificial and natural aromas merge, resulting in a soft yet spicy flavor. There are good English blends and good aromatics, but really well-flavored English blends are just a handful... - the InBeTween is a prime example!
