The Gold Navy Cut lies in very uniform, large flake slices in the appropriate square box. The slices have a firm consistency but feel supple. The tobacco is optimally conditioned and ranges in color from light to dark brown. The Gold Navy Cut smells as fresh, sweet Virginia. A flavour can not be seen.
The large, soft slices of the Gold Navy Cut invite to stuff the tobacco with the "buckling and folding method". Alternatively, you can also rubb off the tobacco and plug as a Mixture. In both cases, care must be taken not to cram too tightly, because the tobacco expands considerably during burning down. For better lighting should be taken some finer tobacco crumbs as the final layer.
The Gold Navy Cut could be light up easily with 1 or 2 flames. The first glow should be slightly pressed down with the tamper and perhaps re-ignite with another flame. By now the tobacco glows equally.
The Gold Navy Cut should be smoked carefully and slow. Like most pure Virginias, it does not tolerate high temperatures. The tobacco develops both a mature, sweet and a tangy-fresh taste, which combination is very pleasant. Burning down is even with a little more condensate than expected. The strength is somewhere between light to medium. The remaining ash is medium to dark gray.
The redolence of the gold Navy Cut is nice subtle sweet. The tobacco should be welcome everywhere, where tobacco use is allowed.
The Gold Navy Cut is a pure Virginia flake with a combination of mature sweet, tangy and fresh Virginia. The very uniform flake slices have a nice mixed color from light to dark brown and the humidity is ideal. Because of the firm but soft consistency the Gold Navy Cut could be stuffed good in different ways and then light up easily. As most pure Virginias the Gold Navy Cut requires a little more attention in relation to it's temperature. Smoked slowly and cool the taste combination unfolds a sparkling freshness and ripe sweetness with a little more condensate as expected. Overall, the Gold Navy Cut is a solid, rather lighter Virginia flake, which can be recommended to any connoisseur.
