This tin has been sealed air-tight in our factory, and in order to maintain the original flavours it has NOT been vacuumised.
Characterisation:
The Caledonian Superior Mixture Melange No.421 shows up as a colourful Mixture of medium fine cut, light to dark brown and some black tobacco shares. The aromatic scent reminiscent of vanilla, raisins and / or wild berries and enigmatic of chocolate. Something unusual for aromatic Mixtures: This tobacco is rather dry.
Plugging:
The Caledonian Superior Mixture Melange No.421 could be plugged easily. Due to its low humidity it could be stuffed a little bit tighter.
Light up:
Light up is easy too. With the first flame the tobacco glows but straightens up. One has to regulate the surface with the tamper and relight with a second flame. After that the glow is equally and stable.
Smoking properties:
The Caledonian Superior Mixture Melange No.421 is a somewhat obscure mixture. The flavours can’t assert themself clearly, but are consistently noticeable. The taste is predominantly chocolaty and nutty with a sparkling tang. The chocolaty sweetness could come from the aromatization, the nutty flavour from Burley and the sparkling freshness from Virginia. Overall, the Caledonian Superior Mixture Melange No.421 is an inconspicuous smoking experience. Glowing down is good-natured and the tobacco reacts not too strong to temperature peaks. Despite the rather dry impression of the tobacco it develops some condensate and the remaining ash is medium grey.
Redolency:
The redolence of the Caledonian Superior Mixture Melange No.421 is also rather inconspicuous. A slightly sweet note, almost like caramel blends with a nutty fragrance. A tobacco which has almost casually a pleasant, unobtrusive redolence.
Conclusion:
The Caledonian Superior Mixture Melange No.421's a colourful mixture of light to dark brown and black tobaccos. The somewhat dry tobacco smells slightly as sweet vanilla, a little fruity, as raisins or berries and a little nutty. From tobacco there seems to be only the nutty scent of Burley, although the flavour is not too strong. The handling of the Caledonian Superior Mixture Melange No.421 is good-natured. Plugging and light up are simple and the tobacco glows down with some condensate to a medium grey ash. In the taste the tobaccos are more noticeable. Nut from Burley, tingling freshness of Virginia. A light caramel-like sweetness can still be found in taste and also in the room note. Although the description sounds rather uninteresting, the Caledonian Superior Mixture Melange No.421 has its charms and is recommended as tobacco for any occasion to all lovers of aromatic Mixtures.
