Characterisation:
In the pouch, the Danish Mixture Loose Cut is very well suited to take it along for a pipe on the go. For longer storage you should use the larger tin. The tobacco is composed of Loose Cuts and larger Ready Rubbed pieces and shows a predominantly light and medium brown color composition, mixed in fewer dark brown parts. The scent is fruity-sweet and reminiscent of plum jam with a dash of rum. The moisture is, as usual for the manufacturer, perfect to be able to plug the tobacco immediately.
Plugging:
Due to the mixed in Ready Rubbed bits, one has to be careful not to overfill the pipe and not to press too tightly, since compressed tobaccos need room to unfold in the pipe. As a result, the Danish Mixture Loose Cut is also particularly suitable for larger pipe bowls.
Light up:
So that the Ready Rubbed pieces accept the embers, you should press gently after the first flame with the tamper and ignite the prepared area again. That's all it takes to achieve an even burning of the Danish Mixture Loose Cut.
Smoking properties:
The Danish Mixture Loose Cut is extremely mild, almost creamy, with a delicate spiciness. The prevailing roast and bread flavors harmonize very pleasantly with the sweet and decent aroma, which is actually reminiscent of the plums perceived in the cold scent, but not intrusive, but rather supportive of the mild tobacco. This aroma lasts until the last third of the filling and then gives way to the gently strengthening basic tobaccos. After a very even and quiet burning, apart from a few unburned crumbs, some medium-gray ash and hardly any condensate, nothing remains in the pipe, so that it is cleaned in an instant.
Redolency:
In the room you can smell the tobacco, but also the fine sweetish aroma of the Danish Mixture Loose Cut, so that the tobacco does not have to be noticed negatively by a tolerant society.
Conclusion:
The Danish Mixture Loose Cut is a Mixture of Loose Cuts with Ready Rubbed, which ensures a very even and not too fast burning, but requires some experience in dealing with such Mixtures. The mildness, which is supported by the fine-sweet, unobtrusive aroma, invites you to sit back with a good book and a pipe and puff leisurely - to what this tobacco seems to be made, because of its uncomplicated and not too stressful way. For sweet-toothed people who appreciate a powerful aroma, the Danish Mixture Loose Cut is thought rather less, but it is a good alternative to natural Mixtures, if you want something sweeter.
