Manufacturer Description:
A tobacco blend of noble distinction… A tobacco mixture of bright Virginias, light Black Cancendish and particularly of toasted Burley. A slight nut flavour contributes to flair of fine nobleness.
Characterisation:
When opening the tin, one wonders about a wavy and spotty cover sheet, because the tobacco underneath does not look overly moist. Below the medium-wide and longer cut, wider pieces and parts of leaf ribs mix. The predominant color of the Green Blend 25 is medium brown, under which mix some dark brown and a few bright parts. Since the manufacturer indicates a slight nut flavor, surprises the slightly spicy, but clearly jelly-sweet scent something, but is probably due to the dominant color Black Cavendish. Since the Green Blend 25, as already stated when opening the tin, despite the soaked cover sheet is not too moist, it is not necessary to allow it to pre-dry before plugging.
Plugging:
The coarser pieces of leaf that mix under the finer cut of the tobacco make it necessary to plug the Green Blend 25 with some attention. If the tobacco is added loosely to the top and then tighter into the pipe, making sure that the pipe is not too tightly filled, a fairly reliable burning can be achieved.
Light up:
Already at the first lighting one should pay attention to ignite the surface of the Green Blend 25 evenly, then one uses the tamper easily, in order to smooth the surface and gives again carefully fire, so one reaches a long-lasting ember.
Smoking properties:
The Green Blend 25 is not as sweet or strong flavored, as you would have expected after sniffing the open tin. In addition to smoky and slightly woody notes, a pleasantly restrained aroma comes to light, softly caresses the tongue and gives the impression of a finely sweet nuttiness, which could also be attributed to the used Burley. The aroma lasts until the last third of the filling and the tobacco burns down quietly, without getting hot or tingling on the tongue. The fine, lighter ash and the hardly existing condensate make the Green Blend 25 a very uncomplicated tobacco.
Redolency:
Although the Green Blend 25 is not overly flavored, the aroma does have an effect in the room, so that the tobacco can be perceived as pleasant depending on the company.
Conclusion:
Appearing in a darker mid-brown, Green Blend 25 smells sweeter than it tastes in the end, but you should be careful before plugging. This is due to the inconsistent cross-section of the mixture, but should not scare the not quite inexperienced pipe smoker. The quiet burning, the light to moderate strength and the subtle nutty-sweet aroma, which combines pleasantly with the basic tobaccos, make it easy to enjoy the tobacco comfortably. And for every occasion.
