Manufacturer Description:
A blend prepared and cut by craftsmen in a factory steeped in knowledge and experience. The unique Syrian Latakia of this blend is carefully matched with Turkish Dubec leaves to establish a first bouquet. Cool smoking and maturity are then assured by an equal proportion of jet Black Cavendish which has matured in "Scotch Presses" capable of heat and pressure. The addition of bright Carolina and Red Virginia imparts their mellow nutty flavour and the blend is completed. A connoisseurs blend for those who are seeking the finest in Latakia mixtures.
Characterisation:
The Celebrated Sovereign Mixture is a colourful mixture of different tobaccos from gold-yellow to dark brown colouring. When opening the tin, one can clearly recognize the English character in form of the Latakia. The spice-tobaccos clearly are in the foreground. The Celebrated Sovereign Mixture is rather finely cut with different lengths, however, one can find some ready rubbed flake parts too. The humidity is optimal so that one can immediately plug the mellow tobacco.
Plugging:
The Celebrated Sovereign Mixture lets itself simply plug like a well balanced Mixture. One should keep an eye only that the most upper layer consists of rather smaller tobacco-crumbs in order to ease igniting.
Light up:
The Celebrated Sovereign Mixture could be light up very well with 1 to 2 flames. The tobacco tends a little to straighten up. After a slight depressing with the tamper, the tobacco usually glows good-naturedly without re-ignition to the end.
Smoking properties:
The Celebrated Sovereign Mixture develops its English character already after the first draws. Latakia and Turkish Dubec, the spice-tobaccos, give their prominent taste to the Mixture. Virginia and Carolina give the tobacco an additional sparkling freshness and the Black Cavendish rounds off the taste so that it is however clearly but not too spicy. Since the amount of Virginia and Carolina are relatively high, one should keep an eye on the temperature, to avoid that the tobacco becomes somewhat vicious. Otherwise the Celebrated Sovereign Mixture glows down relatively good-natured and leaves a dark grey ash with some black speckles. The condensate-development lasts into borders and the strength of the Mixture lies between middle and strong, therefore somewhat more powerful.
Redolency:
The redolence of the Celebrated Sovereign Mixture also is embossed from the spice-tobaccos. Admittedly the scent is clearly softened by the balanced mixture of the other tobaccos, but the Celebrated Sovereign Mixture cannot deny the English character also in the redolence. The tobacco is therefore more welcome in like-minded groups of smoker...
Conclusion:
The Celebrated Sovereign Mixture is a colourful Mixture of gold-yellow to dark brown tobaccos with clearly English character, that is determined by Latakia and Turkish. The balanced addition of the remaining tobaccos rounds off the tobacco harmoniously, however, so that it neither still seems too obtrusive in the taste and in the redolence. The Celebrated Sovereign Mixture requires some attention with reference to the temperature so that the tobacco doesn't become vicious. Smoked slowly and cool it glows down good-natured with some condensate-development to a balance of dark grey ash with some black speckles. On reasons of its strength and the clearly English character, the Celebrated Sovereign Mixture is recommended for experienced smokers, who'll prefer spicy tobaccos.
