Manufacturer Description:
The Tuarekh is a classic Balkan blend. Abundant Cypriot Latakia give the Tuarekh spicy Orientgrades, orange Virginia from Tanzania and a touch of Louisiana Perique its fresh spicy flavor. The Tuarekh is a well-defined, medium-bodied Balkan blend, with beautifully balanced taste nuances.
Characterisation:
In the round tin with pressure lid, the Collaboration Tuarekh is in good hands even when stored for a longer time. The medium-wide and -long cut tobacco fibers are uniformly dark and black brown with light brown proportions. They exude a strong smoky-sweet smell and feel between the fingers a bit sticky, so that you can let dry the tobacco a hour before plugging.
Plugging:
The stuffing of the Collaboration Tuarekh should be done carefully. Although the tobacco rises slightly under the flame heat, but it should therefore not be stuffed too loose, otherwise no good puffing occurs.
Light up:
The Collaboration Tuarekh, as already mentioned, rises under the flame. Smoothing the surface with the tamper and give fire again evenly will give you a reliable glow.
Smoking properties:
The aromatic of the Collaboration Tuarek is multi-faceted, but consistently strong. So the smoke is creamy, but at the same time a pepper note prickles on the tongue, which should not be confused with tongue burn. It is the pure tobacco spice of a tart Latakia that you can taste here. The Oriental contributes grassy notes, while the Perique adds subtle acidity to the whole. If you keep the tobacco very cool, you will taste an interesting combination of juicy, robust black bread with bitter cocoa. In order to pay due attention to this diverse range of flavors, of course, an uncomplicated burn is needed and offered by the Collaboration Tuarek. The final cleaning is also quite easy, because, in addition to some condensate, only medium gray ash remains.
Redolency:
As an oriental Blend, the Collaboration Tuarekh is less suitable for non-smoking societies due to its austere redolency. It is best enjoyed with other lovers of English tobacco blends or in the fresh air.
Conclusion:
The dark, tart-scented Collaboration Tuarekh delivers just such aromas. If you are looking for an English tobacco that offers creamy smoke but does not dispense with strong flavors, you will find it at the Collaboration Tuarek. Spicy, even peppery Latakia, grassy Oriental and sour Perique form a perfect unity and deliver a beautiful interaction with bitter chocolate and black bread notes. The Collaboration Tuarekh may be an unusually robust oriental Blend, but nevertheless this tobacco is a true English full of compositional finesse!
