Manufacturer Description:
A blend of different Virginia's of different couleur for pipe tobacco lovers who prefer the pure enjoyment.
Characterisation:
In the round tin, the Heritage The Old Sign shows itself as a composition of medium and dark brown tobaccos. The cut is rather narrow and medium in length, but occasional pieces of Ready Rubbed seem to mix with it. Typical of a pure Virginia tobacco is the sweetish scent, reminiscent of dried fruit. Freshly opened, the tobacco looks a bit damp between the fingers so that it can be left to dry briefly before being plugged - as soon as the tin has been opened for a while, however, this is not necessary.
Plugging:
The Heritage The Old Sign is easy to plugg like a loose mix. If you start loosely down and become firmer towards the top you can not go wrong.
Light up:
Even the lighting of the Heritage The Old Sign has no problems: after the first flame, gently push the tamper over the surface, give fire again and you will have a steady glow until the end of the filling.
Smoking properties:
With a pleasantly smoky spiciness, the Heritage The Old Sign harmonizes the combination of rich abundance with the powerful natural sweetness reminiscent of the dry fruit already perceived in the cold fragrance. This results in a very round impression in taste. Loosened up by hints of toasted bread and a slightly bitter impact, the Heritage The Old Sign offers enough variety to completely lose oneself in puffing and to taste for the different flavors. The unattractive qualities of some pure Virginias, such as gargling or tongue-burning the Heritage The Old Sign does not know and so it is also easy to get over, that sometimes you have to use the tamper to bring the embers closer to the tobacco, which has a quiet burning to follow. The remaining medium gray ash and the hardly noticeable condensate are quickly removed.
Redolency:
The redolence of the Heritage The Old Sign is for tobacco so tolerant society is needed, if you do not want to enjoy this tobacco alone or among other smokers.
Conclusion:
The medium and light brown Heritage The Old Sign is a Loose Cut that's easy to handle. Even its burning is - apart from occasional need for the tamper - so inconspicuous that you can concentrate entirely on the balanced composition. In addition to smoky, tart and spicy aromas, a pleasantly lush dried fruit sweetness harmonizes with roasted aromas. This variety of flavors invites especially lovers of pure Virginia tobaccos to fully enjoy such a tobacco, as tongue-burning or gargling are not to be feared. For the same reasons, the Heritage The Old Sign is also suitable for the curious, who have been put off by such "horror stories". Even friends of flavored tobaccos will be able to gain something from the intense natural sweetness.
