Manufacturer Description:
Nashville, the captial of Tennessee, is the stronghold of American country music. But Nashville is also located in the middle of the USA‘s largest Burley-growing area. Often underrated as a pure carrier of aroma, Burley is seldom found as a main ingredient in natural tobacco blends. “Nashville County“ Ready Rubbed Flake brilliantly disproves such misconceptions. 60 percent strong-flavored and sweet Kentucky Burley grades determine the character of this traditional American blend. Malty Red Virginias form the “Nashville Country‘s“ beautiful finish. Its taste is defined by a smoky flavour with a touch of liquorice. This medium strong blend is perfect for relaxed smoking and a brilliant interpretation of the traditional spirit of the South. …progress is tradition perpetuated. (C-F v Weizsäcker).
Characterisation:
When opening the tin, fragrance of the Original Warehouseblend Nashville County is clearly sweet and reminiscent of dried plums and raisins. The good rubbed out Ready Rubbed is predominantly medium brown with some light and dark brown parts. The moisture of the Original Warehouseblend Nashville County works well, but pre-drying simplifies the later smoking process.
Plugging:
Like any Ready Rubbed, the Original Warehouseblend Nashville County should not be stuffed too tight or to the top of the pipe, as the compressed tobacco fibers expand under the heat of the flame. Some loose tobacco crumbs to complete the filling facilitate lighting.
Light up:
The Original Warehouseblend Nashville County is relatively easy to ignite. After the first flame, you should go smoothly with the tamper over the surface, then give fire and press gently again.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of the Original Warehouseblend Nashville County is initially creamy-soft. In the course of the smoke, the flavor becomes more spicy, accompanied by a subtle sweetness, but also typical Virgina aromas are clearly to taste, such as toasted notes and hints of rich bread. If you want to prevent the spice to overwhelm the gentler flavors, keep the Original Warehouseblend Nashville County cool. In between, however, it may be necessary to give fire another time, in spite of the care taken while plugging and igniting. Then the tobacco may taste sharp for a moment, but this rapidly disappears. After smoking, grey ash remains with some unburned crumbs, which, however, is to be cleaned as quickly as the condensate, which is almost nonexistent.
Redolency:
The room note of the Original Warehouseblend Nashville County is tobacco-genuine, between sweet and spicy so that it depends on the non-smoking surrounding whether the tobacco is tolerated.
Conclusion:
The Original Warehouseblend Nashville County is a medium brown Ready Rubbed with lighter and darker components which smells of dried fruits. In preparation and smoking, the tobacco is more demanding and also the aromas are not necessarily aimed at beginners. The smoke is creamy at first and developes to more spicy notes, which can also become sharp, so that the tobacco adresses to more experienced smokers, who - practiced to keep the pipe cool – are able to enjoy the tender sweetness and roasted aromas.
