Manufacturer Description:
A unique aromatic tobacco with flavors of vanilla, rum and mango. A fresh and fruity blend of Virginia tobaccos, oriental and Burley are gently pressed and cut into cubes. In addition, even Black Cavendish and bright Virginias added thereto to give this Peterson Tobacco its irresistibility.
Characterisation:
The Founder's Choice smells of fruit tea and vanilla. The sectional image is a Mixture of medium and dark brown in color with a little less bright shares. The darker and bright portions are loose cutted, while medium brown shares were cut into the small cubes of a Cube Cut. The tobacco is very well conditioned, but the compact pressed cubes save the moisture, so you can let the tobacco initial drying something.
Plugging:
The Founder's Choice according to its different components needs care while stuffing. Even pre-dried the tobacco because of the cubes rises when lighting and so should not the pipe be stuffed up above the rim and also not too tight. At least one should give more fine and loose material on top, so that the flame quickly finds fuel.
Light up:
As with the plugging you should pay attention to the Founder's Choice when lighting too. Two flames are needed to ignite the tobacco evenly, you should also take the tamper to help in order to promote the rearing tobacco gently back into the pipe.
Smoking properties:
The Founder's Choice immediately gives a hint of its aroma but you should not attribute this tobacco to the the aromatics. The smoke is creamy and gives a delicate fruity sweetness, while the aroma not covers the ground tobacco which is mild spicy to taste out and can be compared best with toasted rye bread. This is most likely the Virginia while the Orient is barely audible. The fruity sweetness continues until the last third of the pipe filling, only then it gives way to the now more clearly tasting tobacco flavor. The preparation may require some attention, but as simple is the smoking behavior until in the end remains only medium gray ash with a few unburned tobacco crumbs and some condensate.
Redolency:
Although the Founder's Choice includes Oriental the room note is rather decent, even slightly sweet, so it can be smoked in a tolerant society.
Conclusion:
The fruity scented Founder's Choice is an interesting assorted Mixture, because it contains exept of bright and dark portions also middle brown cubes. Requires this compilation the some care for plugging and igniting, so smoking it will make absolutely no difficulties. On the contrary, the creamy-mild smoke with its delicately sweet fruit flavors and the taste of toastedbread gives only pleasure and will not overwhelm anyone. Even the redolency is unremarkable despite of the contained Oriental. So this tobacco is suitable for every smoker who can plug a pipe carefully and for any occasion.
