Manufacturer Description:
Moroccan Bazaar - is a homage to Morocco. Anyone who has ever visited an oriental spice market will not forget the variety of colors and smells from 1001 Nights. Various Virginia ribbons and ready rubbed flakes, as well as a hint of Black Cavendish were flavored on the one hand with the spicy flavor of pepper, cinnamon, anise, incense, cloves, coriander and on the other hand with sweet notes of the Orient such as ginger, jasmine, honey ang figs. The result is a moderately strong, pleasantly sweet, lively but also characterful blend. Flowery, fragrant yet full-bodied and exotic.
Characterisation:
The Moroccan Bazaar is packaged in a round tin with pressure lid, which is well suited for longer storage. If you open the lid, you see a light to medium brown tobacco with some dark parts. The sumptuously mixed by Ready Rubbed shares are surprisingly large, so that one can already speak of Flake bits. The fragrance rising from this interesting blend is reminiscent of sweet fruits and spicy honey cake. Even if the cover paper is a little wavy, this is no indication of a high moisture content - you can plug the tobacco immediately.
Plugging:
Due to the very coarse Ready Rubbed contents, it is advisable to thoroughly grind them before stuffing or at least to roll them with the loose tobacco fibers to loose balls in order to achieve a more homogeneous mixture and thus a better burn-off.
Light up:
Even when igniting the filling, the coarser components of the Mixture are noticeable. Three flames and the repeated gentle smoothening use of the tamper are at least necessary until a uniform and lasting glow is generated.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of the Moroccan Bazaar is initially very natural with toasted notes and rich spice. A smoky Virginia seems to be the basis of the Mixture. However, if one smokes deliberately, the "scents of the Orient" show themselves. Especially in the nose you can feel carnation, pepper and nutmeg, which interact very nicely with the tobacco flavor. The sweeter and floral aromas used are more in the background, rounding off the overall picture and harmonize the flavors with each other. Due to the fine interplay of tobacco and aroma, you only notice at the end how the aroma abates and the tobacco flavor comes to the fore. The remaining ash is darkly interspersed with unburned crumbs and also some condensate is to be removed.
Redolency:
The redolence of the Moroccan Bazaar is aromatic and spicy, so that in tolerant society, it can meet acceptance.
Conclusion:
The Moroccan Bazaar is a light and medium brown blend whose somewhat coarse ingredients require some experience handling Ready Rubbed tobaccos, which helps with plugging and igniting. However, the medium strong Moroccan Bazaar is easy to smoke and here it shows that the exotic spice aroma does not overlays the spicy tobaccos but supports it. This balanced flavor interplay will convince smokers, who are not looking for sweet dessert tobacco, but an aromatised Mixture, in which all components interact optimally.
