Manufacturer Description:
Bright Virginia and sun-cured Kentucky tobaccos, blended with natural flowers, create a new dimension for Pipe Smokers. A unique concept symbolized by the beauty of the Cardinal - the official bird of Kentucky.
Characterisation:
A bright to medium brown mixture of different tobaccos, interspersed with autumnally coloured petals. The smooth nutty smell of the tobacco is accompanied by a flowery, a little bit sweetly accent. In due of the different cut of the tobaccos and the ripped petals, a coloured, somewhat wild mixture with optimal humidity accrues.
Plugging:
Plugged as a mixture, the Kentucky Bird could be brought into pipes with any bowl sizes very good.
Light up:
The tobacco tends less to swell and could be light up easy and durable.
Smoking properties:
The flowery smell of the tobacco could be recovered definitely in the taste too. A little bit sweetly taste, accompanied by nutty nuances. The mild Virginia is rather in the background and doesn’t influence the taste very much. The tobacco glows a little bit speedy, but good-natured without any tends to get too hot. While smoking the tobacco generates only a little bit condensate and burns down to a mixture of bright and dark ash.
Redolency:
The redolence is unobtrusive and comfortable. The flavour of the petals combine with a nutty, creamy smell, nearly as caramel. The tobacco keeps its aroma almost constant up to the end – only in the last third the tobacco comes a little bit more to the foreground.
Conclusion:
A flowery, pleasing tobacco, both, the redolence and the taste. Easy to handle and with good-natured smoking properties. Because of the addition of petals somewhat particular, but interesting. The Kentucky Bird generates an unobtrusive redolence, which should be welcome in most societies: Sweetly, nutty, rather as caramel. Flowery, but discreet. A recommendation for enthusiasts of slightly aromatic mixtures. Suitable for beginners too, because it doesn’t need a lot of attention, burns down tongue friendly and with a constant aroma.
