Characterisation:
The Charatan No. 63 is a wild cut mixture, that means, colourful tobaccos from bright to dark brown in different width and length cut. The tobacco smells more discreet aromatic. The flavour is fruity and reminds to forest berries with a hint of vanilla. Beside the aroma one could recognize the nutty smell of Burley. The tobacco feels a little bit crude and crumbly, but optimal conditioned.
Plugging:
The Charatan No. 63 could be plugged easily, whereby due to the cut it could be plugged a little more compact. It's recommended to fill the tobacco in layers into the bowl and press down well. At last one should take a few smaller crumbs to ease the light up.
Light up:
The Charatan No. 63 could be light up well with one or two flames. It tends a little bit to straighten up, so that immediately after light up the surface should be dampened down with the tamper. It may be necessary to re-ignite the tobacco.
Smoking properties:
After light up the Charatan No. 63 unfolds it's discreet fruity-sweet aroma. Beside this one can recognize the nutty taste of Burley and a slightly taste of lemon. Due to the rough cut the tobacco glows slowly and cool with some condensate. The flavour decrease while a filling, but it's noticeable until the end. Therefore the taste of sparkling-fresh Virginia is becoming increasingly clear. At the end a balance of medium grey ash with some black particles remains.
Redolency:
The redolence of the Charatan No. 63 is very discreet aromatic. Burley and Black Cavendish soften the smell a little bit, so that an unobtrusive, pleasing overall impression results. A tobacco which could be smoked inconspicuous beside.
Conclusion:
The Charatan No. 63 is a wild cut mixture of colourful tobaccos with a rather discreet aroma. The fruity-sweet flavour reminds to forest berries with a hint vanilla. Beside this one could notice the nutty smell of burley. The handling is easy and the tobacco glows down good-natured. Thereby the aroma decrease a little bit and the sparkling-fresh taste of Virginia comes more to the front. The remaining ash is medium grey with some dark particles. The unobtrusive redolence and the easy handling recommend the Charatan No. 63 more to beginners, but it's also suitable for experienced smoker who like discreet flavours.
