Manufacturer Description:
The traditional Irish house Peterson of Dublin runs from July 2017, a new tobacco in 40gr. pouch on the German market.
The "Aran Mixture" tobacco is a superb blend of ripe Virginia and mild Black Cavendish. A touch of vanilla and flowers has been added by expert hands to ensure an Irish and aromatic tobacco.
Characterisation:
The Aran Mixture is composed of a light brown crinkly fine cut with some darker parts and individual black-brown tobacco fibers. The scent is sweet and appealing and reminiscent of red fruits, such as currant and raspberry. The moisture content is just right, so you can give the Aran Mixture immediately into the pipe.
Plugging:
The Aran Mixture should, as usual with loose mixtures, be loosely stuffed down and tightened upwards.
Light up:
The Aran Mixture is very easy to ignite with just one flame. If you then gently press the filling with the tamper under the first few puffs, the tobacco burns evenly to the end.
Smoking properties:
The Aran Mixture provides a soft smoke that transports a creamy and distinct sweetness. The mild-spicy basic tobacco stays in the background and offers the juicy vanilla flavoring enough room to unfold. This aroma is retained until the last third of the filling, before the mild Virginia spicy emerges. The Aran Mixture is very easy to smoke and without the risk of tongue-burn. If you pay attention to smoking behavior, the tobacco does not tend to seep. What remains is a light and fine ash, which, together with the left condensate, hardly does any work during cleaning.
Redolency:
The redolence of the Aran Mixture is - as so often with vanilla-flavored tobaccos - sweet and is often associated by non-smokers as pleasant and with "typical smell of pipe-smoking".
Conclusion:
The Aran Mixture is a predominantly light mixture of curly tobaccos that are easy to plug, light and smoke. With this tobacco, the manufacturer offers exactly what many pipe smokers want: a light Mixture that can be smoked at any time and incidentally, and with its sweet, clear vanilla note, is aimed at the sweet tooth among the tobacco lovers.
