Manufacturer Description:
Finest Virginia tobaccos as base will be cut to 1.5 mm and mixed with a portion Black Cavendish and ready rubbed Virginia. With an addition of spicy Latakia tobaccos this mixture gets its fine smoky note.
Characterisation:
The tobacco appears as a medium brown mixture with some brighter and a few black parts. It is cut small and rather short. With opening the tin the slightly spicy, in other respects very native smell of tobacco, gets off immediately. Latakia is definitely noticeable, but as fine dosed, that it doesn’t dominate the smell. The mixture feels pleasing mellow and not too dampish.
Plugging:
The rather fine cut tobacco could be plugged very well. One must only pay attention to plug not too compressed.
Light up:
The Meistermischung No. 77 could be light up very well with one or two flames. It doesn’t tend to straighten up and glows constant immediately.
Smoking properties:
Due to the fine cut the Meistermischung No. 77 needs some attention, because it glows down rather quick and tends to overheat – the high amount of Virginia is remarkable. Smoked slowly and cool the tobacco gives off a fine, native tobacco aroma with a hint of the spicy Latakia. The result is a pleasing taste with a nuance of chocolate. Burning down is constant with less condensate. The tobacco is rather light and suited for any daytime. It glows down to a balance of fine medium grey ash.
Redolency:
The redolence is dominated by native tobacco and the hint of Latakia too, but due to the low amount of Latakia it isn’t obtrusive or unpleasant. In the redolence is also a slightly sweet nuance of chocolate remarkable, which should makes this tobacco sufferable acceptable.
Conclusion:
The Meistermischung No. 77 is a native tobacco with a hint of Latakia, which will give the kick. The high amount of Virginia gives the tobacco a slight sweetness, but cause also, that the tobacco needs some attention in reference to the temperature. A nuance of chocolate in taste and redolence and the rather light strength suite the tobacco to any daytime. Burning down is constant with less condensate. The Meistermischung No. 77 is suited for beginners as well as enthusiasts of English tobaccos with a little bit Latakia.
