Characterisation:
The Meistermischung No. 99 appears as a medium to darker brown, rather fine and short cut mixture. By opening the tin a fine spicy taste is remarkable, which will betray the Turkish and Latakia, but isn’t dominated by them. The tobacco feels in good condition.
Plugging:
The tobacco could be plugged well, whereby it should be regarded, that it isn’t plugged to compressed. Otherwise the fine cut could cause a tensile strength.
Light up:
The Meistermischung No. 99 could be light up easy with one or two flames. The tobacco tends only less to straighten up and glows well to the end after dampened down with the temper.
Smoking properties:
In due to the amount of Kentucky the Meistermischung No. 99 is a medium strength mixture, which is pleasurable to smoke. In spite of the fine cut it’ll glow rather slowly and cool. After light up the typical taste of Orient and Latakia is explicit but not dominating. A slightly earthy note and a profound taste of dark chocolate is remarkable, what’ll give the tobacco a slight sweetness. Burning down is uncomplicated, cool and with less condensate. A balance of fine, bright grey ash will remain.
Redolency:
The redolence is appointed by Turkish and Latakia. Virginia, Kentucky and Black Carolina soften the smell a little bit, so that a strong but not unpleasing redolence arise. The tobacco should be anywhere welcome, where English mixtures or good cigars will be accepted.
Conclusion:
The Meistermischung No. 99 is a medium to dark brown, fine cut mixture with medium strength and definite English character. Handling is easy and burning behaviour is good. The tobacco glows rather slow, cool and with less condensate. The well balanced mixture of the different tobaccos results in a pleasurable smoking experience, if one like this kind of tobacco.
