Manufacturer Description:
Medium brown, airy structure and fine aroma.
Characterisation:
The Burley 2,5mm is, as the name implies, rather wide cut, but kept shorter. The color of the tobacco is a uniform middle brown, which tends into deer brown and the scent reminds strikingly of milk chocolate, although guaranteed no flavor was used. The humidity is just right.
Plugging:
The Burley 2,5mm is a Loose Cut, which is plugged very easily starting soft from below and getting tighter towards the top. A quiet burn-up is the result.
Light up:
As uncomplicated, as it can be stuffed, one can ignite the Burley 2.5mm also. A single flame, a short smoothing with the tamper and the tobacco glows uniformly.
Smoking properties:
Burley tobaccos are the closest to cigar tobaccos in taste. They offer spicy, delicate, earthy and woody aromas and also the cocoa perceptible in the smell is typical for this type of tobacco. The Burley 2.5mm fits into this picture. Creamy and lush, its smoke fills the mouth and unfolds the expected roasting note, which, however, comes rather gently. The natural sweetness to be tasted is also delicate and hardly reminiscent of the sniffed chocolate. More distinctive and surprising is a delicate note, reminiscent of liquorice, which harmoniously pairs with the sweetness and roast aromas. After the tobacco is burned down fully uncomplicated remains fine, medium gray ash and condensation is hardly to be seen.
Redolency:
The room mark of the Burley 2.5mm is like tobacco, but unobtrusive, so that it - at least smoked pure - in tolerant society should not be noticed further.
Conclusion:
The Burley 2,5mm is a medium brown Loose Cut with an appetizing milk chocolate flavor. Plugging and igniting of the tobacco is just as uncomplicated as the whole subsequent smoke. The aromas are also not overwhelming. The Burley 2.5mm provides soft roast aromas and sweetness, but also surprising with a spicy liquorice note, which can be imagined as interesting in some Mixtures. The Burley 2,5mm can be smoked pure absolutely, but it is particularly suitable for rounding more powerful tobaccos, e.g. Kentucky, with which it harmonizes well due to its own spiciness and to which it cuts the peaks with its grounding.
