A very gentle and pleasant blend with a high proportion of Black Cavendish, Golden Virginia, Burley and Broken Virginia flake. Deliciously flavoured with aromas from walnuts, vanilla and Mirabelle plums.
The Mellow Nut is a rough mix of different types of tobacco, partly mixture cut in various cutting widths and lengths and broken flake. The mixture does not smell too strongly of vanilla and Mirabelle plum, the subtle smell of walnut could partially come from the flavor but also from Burley. The Mellow Nut is slightly dampish when fresh, so you should let him reveal something before the plug.
While plugging the Mellow Nut one should make sure that the different major tobacco fibers are distributed fairly evenly, so that the tobacco glows evenly too. The Mellow Nut should not be stuffed too tightly, as it significantly expands upon smoking. It is recommended to roll portions of the tobacco to loose balls, stuff them into the bowl and slightly press down, where one should make sure that the tobacco fits snugly against the wall.
Despite the different cutting widths, the Mellow Nut could be light up well. With the first flame, you can already burn the surface well. Here, the tobacco straighten up something and you have to relight again with a second flame after depressing with the pusher. Then the Mellow Nut glows evenly and permanently.
After light up one can clearly see that it is a flavored blend with a lot of Virginia. The Mellow Nut responds strongly to heat, that means, you have to smoke from the beginning very careful and always pay attention to the temperature. First, a slightly fruity-sour taste is noticeable that mingles on the tongue with the slight sweetness of vanilla. A nutty aftertaste is also noticeable, but can’t be clearly assigned to the flavor or the tobacco. The acidly taste diminishes after a few draws and fruit and vanilla are then easier to taste. Like most aromatic mixtures the Mellow Nut should be classified as light. The Mellow Nut glows relatively slow and docile, forming something more condensate. The remaining ash is medium to dark gray.
In the redolence a nutty smell is also clearly remarkable as the vanilla flavor. The Virginias still strengthened that with their sweetness and Burley with its own nutty flavor. The fruit aroma of the Mellow Nut is in the redolence as good as unnoticeable. The scent is not too intrusive and the tobacco is very good suited for societies, where a "typical" pipe scent is welcome.
The Mellow Nut is a blend of tobaccos with walnut, vanilla and Mirabelle plum flavor. The fresh tobacco is a little bit dampish and the flavors of vanilla and Mirabelle plum can be clearly recognized. Nut is rather something in the background and might be from both the flavor and Burley. The Mellow Nut can be good stuffed and light up, but where it should not be stuffed too tightly, as it expands after lighting significantly. After light up immediately attention must be paid to the temperature because the Mellow Nut, like many flavored tobaccos, is very sensitive with respect of aroma development. Smoked carefully you can taste first a fruity-sour flavor that combines with vanilla, which can be seen more clearly after a few draws. Even in taste can’t be assigned uniquely nutty flavor, but clearly recognized. The Mellow Nut is relatively light and glows good-natured with little more condensate development to a medium to dark gray ash. The pleasant room note is dominated by nut and vanilla. The Mellow Nut is suitable for all lovers of flavored tobaccos and for all societies, where a "typical" pipe scent is welcome.
