Connecticut Broadleaf, USA (Barrel Aged)
Macanudo French Oak Barrel Aged Macanudo Estate Reserve Oak Barrel is the first cigar outside the USA to feature Connecticut Broadleaf tobacco aged in the finest French oak barrels in the world, thanks to a collaboration with Flint Knoll Winery. These barrels were previously used to produce Flint Knoll’s Royal Appointment Cabernet Sauvignon. This special wine comes from the 2019 growing season in Napa Valley, with a perfect combination of early rains and warm summer days. The Royal Appointment Cabernet Sauvignon is complex, with slightly fruity notes and spices. These characteristics give the barrels their unique and distinctive character, which is reflected in the smoking experience of the cigar. The French oak wine barrels in which the tobacco is aged impart special nuances that make it truly unique. Those who enjoy the Macanudo Estate Reserve Oak Barrel can expect a spicy cigar with subtle notes of creamy vanilla, roasted almonds, dark currants, and cedarwood.
Like most Macanudo cigars, the Macanudo Estate Reserve Oak Barrel is also produced at General Cigar Dominicana in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.
