Manufacturer Description:
Yellow to golden-brown Virginia tobaccos traditionally blended and upgraded with double-fermented Black Cavendish. Long Cut. Medium strong blend with the delicate sweetness, soft taste by adding Black Cavendish, discreetly flavoured. Suitable for all pipe bowls.
Characterisation:
In the pouch the Brigg Regular is good for on the go, while the tin is recommended for longer storing and the economy pack makes those happy who can not get enough of this tobacco... The fibers are medium and light brown and medium-wide cut, but also are mixed in coarser pieces of leafes. The scent is surprisingly woody, but not unpleasant and also reminiscent of cocoa. The moisture content is such that you can plug the tobacco immediately.
Plugging:
Despite the coarser bits, the Brigg Regular can be plugged fairly easy. At the end of the filling gently tighten it, but being careful not to overdo it and not make the pipe too full as the tobacco straightens up under the flame.
Light up:
Since the Brigg Regular rises slightly under the first flame, gently use the tamper to fix it. If you give fire again evenly, the resulting embers will last until the end of the filling.
Smoking properties:
In the smoke, the Brigg Regular is mild-spicy, but it can sometimes be stronger. The strength, however, remains in the midfield and it demands from the smoker also no special previous experiences, since it can be smoked very uncomplicated. At no time does one have the impression of smoking a distinctively flavored tobacco. Among the roasted bread notes, which are familiar from Virginia-mixtures, only an unobtrusive sweetness mixes by, vaguely reminiscent of dried fruit, leaving a more natural impression. In the end the bit of medium gray ash and the hardly occurring condensate make just joy in cleaning.
Redolency:
The scent of the Brigg Regular is for tobacco, but slightly sweetish. This makes the tobacco quite suitable for companies that tolerate pipe smokers.
Conclusion:
The Brigg Regular is not outstanding either by its appearance or by any major problems in handling. It also smokes very easily, so you can have him in the pipe along the way. But that does not mean that the Brigg Regular would be boring. It provides spicy, quite strong tobacco taste and Virginia-typical roasted notes, which is rounded off by an unobtrusive aroma. Especially smokers, who are looking for a subtly flavored tobacco and prefer more natural Mixtures, will be happy to be convinced by the Brigg Regular.
