Traspers The best stories are written by life itself. The name of this rum comes from an adventurer: John Traspers, who grew up as Juan Paz, evolved from a simple boy at the Panama Canal – raised as the son of a master distiller – to an adventurous explorer with a great passion for rum. Longing to write his own story, he clinches his personal jackpot at a poker game: a trip to America. He shares his love for rum with those who, like him, are thirsty for life and eager to write their own stories. Panama Rum Aroma: Caramel, vanilla, chocolate, molasses, toffee. After a short while, wood (toasted aromas), nutty notes of brown sugar, berries (blackcurrants), fruitcake (pears, raisins). Taste: Smooth mouthfeel, fruitcake, later spicy (ginger). Caramel, nutty notes. Some marzipan/nougat with Muscovado sugar. In the finish, caramel, light nuttiness with hints of spices (baking spices). Chocolate-nut rum chocolate. Very creamy with woody spice. Undertones of crème brûlée. Traspers Panama Rum is multifaceted and balanced. Mature pears, raisins, brown sugar, caramel, and a hint of toasty aromas are accompanied by notes of blackcurrant jam. The full-bodied taste is reminiscent of crème brûlée. Subtle notes of ginger and black pepper accompany this fine drop. A soft, medium-length finish beautifully rounds off the tasting experience. Also available in small (50 ml), perfect for tasting or as a gift.
