Manufacturer Description:
This flake of the special Danish type, prepared from different Virginia grades, offers a full and aromatic taste, particularly soft and gentle smoke. The subtle flavor blends extremely well with the natural sweetness of the Virginia and refines the smell in the air. This tobacco can be rubbed out easily and is therefore not only for "Flake specialists" a non-problematic experience.
Characterisation:
The Navy Cut No. 14 It are almost square-looking slices in - unusual for a flake – a round tin. The smell is very sweet, a warm aroma of raisins and apples, reminiscent of fruit bread. The flakes are regularly brown, light and dark brown textured and quite crumbly. The moisture is good, however, so that the flake must not be dried, but can be brought directly from the can into the pipe.
Plugging:
Not only by recommendation of the manufacturer, also by its crumbly consistency is recommended the Navy Cut No. 14 to rub it out. So you can fill and smoke it as a mixture in the pipe very easy. With a little skill and carefulness but it is also possible to fold the flake and smoke it on this way preferred by many lovers of flakes. It is advisable not to overtighten the filling as the pressed tobacco rears up under the heat and therefore requires space in the pipe. Some loose tobacco crumbs as the top layer facilitate the kindling.
Light up:
The Navy Cut No. 14 is easy to ignite. If you smoothes the surface after the first flame with the tamper and again light up it will achieve a nice even glow that burns until the end of the filling.
Smoking properties:
Despite the flavors used reserves the Navy Cut No. 14 its natural tobacco taste. The smoke is very soft and creamy sweetness reveals a not too demanding representative from Virginia that can bite sometimes, if you are too hastily. However, it should not be smoked too hard, because the tobacco tends to gargle if done so. All that remains fine medium gray ash and cleaning effords are low.
Redolency:
The room note of the Navy Cut No. 14 is tobacco genuine, but it is sweet, so it can be tolerated in society entirely.
Conclusion:
The Navy Cut No. 14 is a flake mottled in various shades of brown, whose sweet smell reminds of fruit bread. Despite the flavors used the natural flavor of the tobacco is maintained, which itself is sweet and pleasant creamy. In fact, the Navy Cut No. 14 is, as specified by the manufacturer, good for beginners. But even experienced smokers will appreciate this uncomplicated tobacco.
