Manufacturer Description:
Virginia from sunny regions, pressed and mellowed together with 5% Perique under gentle pressure. A wonderfully softer dark flake with harmonious sweetness, even in the burn and cool in the smoke.

Characterisation:
The Limerick Virginia Flake is a thick and wide flake in the round can, which gives a sweet-sour citrus smell when opened. The slices of the Limerick Virginia Flake are light to medium brown, with inclusions of darker browns. The consistency is very dull and crumbly due to the manufacturer's preferred renunciation of artificial "adhesives", which is why the flakes can hardly be removed individually and in one part.

Plugging:
The Limerick Virginia Flake can be plugged more or less rubbed because of its consistency and does not need much attention in that.

Light up:
Two flames and a smoothing with the tamper in between satisfy the Limerick Virginia Flake for an even embers.

Smoking  properties:
The smoke of the Limerick Virginia Flake is lush and creamy. In fact, the aroma reminds of a juicy-sour whole-grain bread. As expected from a Flake of this name is also the flowery flavor to taste, which is regarded as typically Irish. This will become more intense in the further smoking course, but without becoming soapy, which in this direction is appreciated by lovers, but beginners might be unsettling. After an uncomplicated burning, gray, finer ash is to be cleaned with a few unburned crumbs and almost no condensate.

Redolency:
In the room the Limerick Virginia Flake is slightly sweet, but tabacco-genuine, so it depends on the tolerance of the society whether the smoke is tolerated.

Conclusion:
The manufacturer of the Limerick Virginia Flake dispenses with adhesive additives, which gives the brown shaded flake a brittle consistency and has to be stuffed as Ready Rubbed. This, however, makes the lighting and smoking very pleasant. This develops over time: the creamy smoke is mild to the tongue and lets you think first of a juicy bread to which the Perique contributes sour notes, while the floral "Irish" flavor increases without becoming overwhelming. If you like or want to get to know natural Virginia-Perique blends, the Limerick Virginia Flake is well advised and even curious people, who want to taste the Irish flavor will not be deterred by this tobacco.

A pipe bowl which has a beautiful grain but with inherent imperfections is sandblasted.
In the process the softer parts of the surface are washed out the harder relief.
