Manufacturer Description:
Yellow to golden-brown Virginia tobaccos traditionally blended and upgraded with double-fermented Black Cavendish. Long Cut. Medium strong blend with the fresh-fruity aroma of Honey-Dew Melons and sweetness of the tobacco. Smooth Taste. Suitable for all pipe bowls.
Characterisation:
If you choose Brigg H. in the practical pouch, you can easily take it with you everywhere, but the larger tin is better, if you want to store it for a longer period of time. When you open the packaging, the fresh-sweet canteloupe scent is already clearly pouring into your nose. The tobacco fibers are broad cut and mixed evenly from light, medium and dark brown parts. Since the tobacco is not too moist, it does not need to be pre-dried and can be plugged immediately.
Plugging:
The Brigg H. is a loose Mixture and is, as usual for this, stuffed as follows: one fills the tobacco in the pipe and gently presses it in between, while becoming firmer getting up until the pipe is completely filled.
Light up:
Usually the Brigg H. already takes the first flame so well that the smoldering surface needs only to be smoothened softly with the tamper. It may be advisable to give fire again, but this is not necessarily for a steady burn.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of Brigg H. is surprisingly spicy for a flavored tobacco and interspersed with pleasant toasted notes. If you pay attention to keep the pipe cool, you will clearly taste the fresh, fruity melon aroma with its characteristic sweetness. Unfortunately, this flavor disappears before the last third of the filling to make room for the more vigorous basic tabacco. This does not necessarily have to be a disadvantage if you appreciate spicy Virginia and can also be happy that the burning is completely unremarkable. In any case, only a small amount of medium-gray ash remains and surprisingly for a flavored tobacco - almost no condensate.
Redolency:
In the room the sweet melon aroma of Brigg H. is clearly perceived, so that a society that tolerates pipe smokers should not feel disturbed.
Conclusion:
The Brigg H. is an uncomplicated tobacco, which has an interesting aroma. The aroma is very authentic, with a juicy, fresh and sweet note that immediately makes you think of cantaloupe. The pleasant roasted notes and the spicy Virginia make it easy to get over that the aroma only lasts until just over half of the filling. Thus, the tobacco is suitable both for sweet teeth, with an interest in a particular flavor, as well as for smokers who seek a compromise between flavored and natural tobacco.
