Characterisation:
The Pipemaster Blue is packed in a pouch. This means that you can easily take the tobacco with you. However, if you want to store it for a longer period when it has been opened, you should pour the Pipemaster Blue into a tightly sealing container. The contents of the pouch are a mixture of light, medium and dark brown flakes and coarser fibers with a light cube cut mixed in. The scent is smoky and slightly sweet, reminiscent of Latakia. Fresh from the pouch, the moisture content of the tobacco is such that it can be plugged immediately.
Plugging:
The different cuts of the Pipemaster Blue require some care when plugging. Nevertheless, this is fairly uncomplicated. Not plugged too tightly, with room to develop in a pipe that is wide enough, results in a good filling.
Light up:
The Pipemaster Blue is easy to light despite the varied components. After the first flame, press the surface lightly with the tamper and then use the second flame to create an even glow.
Smoking properties:
As the cold scent already suggested, the Pipemaster Blue is smoky and spicy. Here the mixture shows English character. The Latakia shows off its spicy side and is only slightly ethereal, reminiscent of incense. A grassy note can also be tasted, in which you can see the effect of a subtle Oriental. The Pipemaster Blue gets a surprising twist with a tart, spicy touch, which, with its almost alcoholic bite, is reminiscent of a strong whiskey. When smoked quietly, the tobacco stays cool, making Pipemaster Blue an uncomplicated tobacco. However, it may happen that the quite different cuts require another flame. The Pipemaster Blue acknowledges this with composure because the taste of the tobacco does not change. In the end, cleaning the remaining ash and the few unburned crumbs takes little work.
Redolency:
The room note of Pipemaster Blue is typical of an English tobacco. Not overly stressful, but you should be considerate of people who are not used to this.
Conclusion:
The Pipemaster Blue, packaged in a pouch, is a mixture of coarser cuts and cube cut. The spicy scent already reveals the English character. Smoky Latakia, grassy notes and spicy, bitter aromas characterize this vigorous tobacco. In any case, it's not boring. Lovers of this style can still easily smoke the Pipemaster Blue on the side. However, it is also suitable at the end of a good meal or in the later hours of the day.
