Manufacturer Description: Before the Classic One can finally emit its fine aroma in your Bentley and please your discerning palate, it´s been on a long trip. Virginia and Orient tobaccos are optimally seasoned right after they arrive in Germany. They are harmonically blended and put in old English flake squeezers where they can mature and develop their special quality. Until it´s time to pack and seal it so that The Classic One Ready Rubbed can retain its full aroma. It´s got a soft taste and ensures a cool and even burn. A wonderful product for the discerning tobacco connoisseur.
Characterisation: The Classic One is a ready rubbed flake of medium brown tobaccos. It smells of ripe Virginia tobacco, slightly sweet, and slightly spicy Oriental. The cutting width is medium, the length varies greatly by the flake. The Classic One is optimally conditioned.
Plugging: The Classic One could be stuffed in portions turned to loose balls. One has to ensure that the tobacco is not packed too tightly, as it expands in the bowl during glowing down. As the tobacco is relatively supple, the surface could be flattened well to facilitate the light up.
Light up: The Classic One could be light up well with 2 or 3 flames. At first it straightens up, so it’s necessary to depress with the tamper and re-light it.
Smoking properties: After lighting up one can notice a slight tingling sensation on the tongue - an indication that The Classic One must be smoked with a little more attention, so that the tobacco does not bite on the tongue. But by the coarse "ready rubbed" cut of the tobacco it glows even relatively slowly by itself, so that the temperature could be controlled well. The taste is determined mainly of ripe, slightly sweet Virginia and mixes with the subtle, spicy-sour taste of the Oriental. Glowing down is slow with little condensate. The remaining ash is medium gray.
Redolency: The redolence is pleasant with a light, unobtrusive sweetness of Virginia. The Oriental, however, is hardly noticeable. The Classic One is therefore suitable for almost all occasions and societies.
Conclusion: The Classic One is a "ready rubbed" flake from ripe, sweet Virginia and some Oriental, what can also be recognized in the taste. The tobacco needs more attention in terms of the temperature, but then unfolds its full flavor on the tongue without biting. The Oriental can be recognized as a spicy-sour component in the background, the Virginia prevails both in taste and in the redolence. The burn is slow and it develops only less condensate. The Classic One is a tobacco for every occasion. It is recommended for experienced Virginia lover, but also the cautious beginner.

Virginia, Black Cavendish
Mixture
Sweet fruit
Some
Manufacturer Description: Sun ripened, juicy Virginia and a little Black Cavendish for a cool burn are carried by a specially composed, sweet and fruity flavor.
Characterisation: The Planters Sweet is a mixture of light to medium brown and little black tobacco with a strong fruit flavor that reminiscent of forest berries and raspberry. The aroma displaces any tobacco smell. Although the tobacco is predominantly medium fine cut it contains a few coarse fibers. The humidity is optimal.
Plugging: The Planters Sweet could be plugged rather well, but it may happen that you have to sort out some too coarse tobacco fibers. It is recommended to grind the tobacco a little bit between your fingers before plugging and then to fill in portions into the bowl. The pipe should not be filled too high and the tobacco not stuffed too tightly because The Planters Sweet expands slightly while glowing down.
Light up: The tobacco could be light up well with 1 to 2 flames, in which it tends a little bit to straighten up. But that could be regulated easily with the tamper without the need to re-ignite.
Smoking properties: After light up the berry fruit flavor dominates the taste. A slightly citrus-like, sparkling flavor could come from Virginia. One should make sure that the tobacco isn’t smoked too hot, otherwise it will bite on the tongue and the aromatic flavor gets lost. Glowing down of the light tobacco is straightforward with some condensate and the remaining ash is light gray. The aroma diminishes at the half of the bowl but remains present until the end. A light chocolate-like note of Black Cavendish mingles then with the fruit flavor.
Redolency: The redolence of the The Planters Sweet is fruity and sweet too and the smell also remains to forest berries and raspberry. The flavor displace all smell of tobacco but isn’t obtrusively and makes the tobacco acceptable for any society.
Conclusion: The Planters Sweet is a mixture of light to medium brown and little black tobacco with a strong flavor that reminiscent of forest berries and raspberry. The aroma is dominating the smell of the predominantly medium fine cut tobacco that also contains some coarser fibers. The tobacco is optimally conditioned and glows good-natured with some condensate to a light gray ash. The taste clearly reflects the fruit flavor again, but a slightly citrus-like, sparkling taste of Virginia could be recognized too. During glowing down the aromatic flavor diminishes somewhat, but remains visible until the end. A chocolate-like note of Black Cavendish mingles with the fruit flavor. The room note is sweet and fruity but not intrusive. This makes The Planters Sweet socially acceptable. The light tobacco is therefore suitable for every occasion and for every pipe smoker who likes to enjoy flavored tobaccos.
