Manufacturer Description:
A pure Virginia blend made of only the most outstanding Virginia tobaccos. Medium-bodied and smooth, this mixture burns beautifully and renders a natural aroma accented by traces of lemmon and honey.
Characterisation:
The Gold Rush appears as a bright to medium brown mixture in rather fine cut. The tobacco smells slightly nutty and typically as Virginia. He feels mellow and good conditioned.
Plugging:
Due to the fine cut it’s easy to plug the tobacco with the smoker’s favourite method for mixtures.
Light up:
The Gold Rush tends less to straight up. It could be light up very well with one to two flames.
Smoking properties:
The Gold Rush shows from the beginning that it’s a naturally pure tobacco. The typical, sweetly taste of Virginia with a discreet nutty-malty nuance. As a pure Virginia it’s necessary to look at the burning temperature. Smoked too hot, the pleasurable taste will change rather quick into an acidly biting. Smoked slowly and cool, the Gold Rush is very pleasing. It’s glowing down constantly with less condensate to a balance of bright grey ash.
Redolency:
The redolence is dominated by the pure Virginia. The fine sweetness defines the Gold Rush as a pipe tobacco. The rather inconspicuous redolence makes this tobacco sociably, so it could be enjoyed in nearly any surrounding.
Conclusion:
The Gold Rush is a naturally mixture of different Virginias in medium fine cut. The colour is from bright to medium brown. The tobacco smells pleasurable as typical Virginia with a fine, nutty note. The Handling affords some attention with the temperature. Smoked slowly and cool the tobacco evolves a fine, sweetly taste with a nutty-malty nuance. Burning down is constant with less condensate. A light tobacco, which is suited for both the beginner and the enthusiast of Virginia-mixtures. But for an “all-days-favourite” the special kick is missing.
