Manufacturer Description:
The train on the label is a symbol of the now 25-year history of the DTM Dan Tobacco Manufacturing GmbH. Steep mountains and rugged canyons had to be overcome. But always full steam ahead, it has this small tobacco factory managed to survive in the market and to gain an excellent reputation among friends of the pipe. For DTM the occasion to present a specially composed tobacco: fully ripe, natural sweet golden and reddish Virginia grades were fermented with the addition of a subtly spicy woodland-honey casings in the press and later packed than loosely folded flake. Smooth and cool smoke, rich in sweet flavor and fragrances.
Characterisation:
The Choo Choo Train is a rolled long strip of flake in the company's usual round container. The for DTM usual negation of "adhesive substances", the flake is quite brittle and breaks easily if you want to tear off a piece of the strip. The flake is wide cut and light- and medium brown evenly marbled and traversed by only a few dark veins. The aroma is sweet and fruity reminiscent of apricots and is reminiscent of the fragrance, which flows toward one when entering a tea shop. The Choo Choo Train is immediately ready to smoke.
Plugging:
With practice, it is quickly obvious how much one has to tear from the long ribbon of flake, to fill the pipe. Since the flake is rather brittle, the Choo Choo Train is well suited to be ground into a mixture; formed into a loose ball, it can easily brought into the pipe. With a little care, it can be even bent and folded. Loose tobacco crumbs at the top take the flame rapidly.
Light up:
The Choo Choo Train requires more than a single flame into a uniform glow. The surface of the filling should be smoothed after the first flame with the tamper. With a little care can be achieved with one or two other flames a uniform bed of embers, which does not present any more problems.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of the Choo Choo Train is dense and immediately brings to mind the shown steam locomotive on the lable. The tobacco used is nutty and spicy, the flavor so unobtrusive that the sweetness comes quite natural. Also it is in no way to associate with the heavy sweetness of honey, but acts rather nimbly, as an harmonic. The tobacco is moderate in strength and undemanding - even more greedy smoking does not lead directly to gargling. Quite so for any time suitable when its sophisticated formulation is mastered. This is quickly forgotten when one leans back and enjoys. The aroma keeps until short before going out and the little bright fine ash hardly makes labor during cleaning.
Redolency:
The room touch of Choo Choo Train is rather sweet and should not be distracting in a tolerant society.
Conclusion:
With practice, you know quickly how much you have to be separated from the long, uniformly brown marbled strip of flake of Choo Choo Train to fill the pipe. Its sweet scent makes equal appetite and a certain sweetness can be tasted even in the smoke. But the Choo Choo Train is not an aromatic. The flavors are balanced and are mainly used to support the basic spicy tobacco. The moderate strenght and the pleasant smoking behaviour recommends the Choo Choo Train, despite the tricky preparations, not only for experienced smokers. Even beginners have her - if they give themselves a little effort - pleasure at this tobacco.
