Manufacturer Description:
This special blend consists of the finest lemon and orange coloured Virginia tobaccos. The rolls are pressed square, cut and finally packed by hand. The result is a pleasant and sweet taste.
Characterisation:
The W.Ø. Larsen Selected Blend No. 32 Curly Flake is cut of exceptional form in squares of about 3.5 cm on a side and is about 1.5 mm thick. These slices are embedded next to and above each other in a round tin in paper. The soft brown color of the tobacco with the golden sprinklings makes as "appetite" as its delicious aroma, reminiscent of a mixture of butter cookies and vanilla biscuits. The flakes are perfectly conditioned. Soft and pliable, but not too moist or crumbly.
Plugging:
The W.Ø. Larsen Selected Blend No. 32 Curly Flake is not easy to stuff due to its unusual shape. The easiest way is to rub him to a mixture or you fold it in half and then again until you get a sort of loose ball that is introduced with little pressure into the tobacco chamber. Depending on the size of the pipe you can still bring in another of these balls. Take care that there is enough air while plugging, because when lighting the tobacco rears a little up and also suffers in aroma if you have plugged it too tight into the pipe.
Light up:
The lighting of the W.Ø. Larsen Selected Blend No. 32 Curly Flake is easy. Only the surface should be flatened a bit, as it rears up slightly at the first ignition. Then it burns without further difficulties.
Smoking properties:
The W.Ø. Larsen Selected Blend No. 32 Curly Flake wants to be smoked slowly, so that it is not too hot, because then he can produce condesation and the tongue also suffers. By cautious sipping it reveals a soft cookie-sweetness that is reminiscent of butterscotch, contributed to the Virginia tobaccos with its fine lemony tips. Despite of its lightness this flake provides a satisfying smoking experience. Less incidentally, but as a conscious enjoyment for the not entirely inexperienced smokers. If smoked by attention it burns down to a fine, gray ash and is not necessitating too many cleaners.
Redolency:
The room note of W.Ø. Larsen Selected Blend No. 32 Curly Flake is sweet and will be perceived as quite pleasant in society.
Conclusion:
The W.Ø. Larsen Selected Blend No. Curly flake 32 is a soft brown and golden curly,. The flake was pressed into shape and cut into small squares. Its scent reminiscent of vanilla and cookies. These flavors can be found again in the smoke, if done with attention. Some care, is required in plugging and smoking because the tobacco – due to its unusual form – need space in the pipe and should not be smoked too hot. If one considers this, the flake is recommended due to its lightness even in the early hours of the day as a treat for beginners and advanced smokers.
