Manufacturer Description:
Aromatic Choice makes pipe smoking as easy as possible. Filling your pipe is effortless, and smoking it is even easier, especially if you are a less experienced pipe smoker. The tobacco is a loose cut blend of golden Virginia, the modern Mac Baren Cavendish, and it is smoothed-out with a unique Burley.
The flavor profile comes from selected Virginia tobaccos, which add an inherent sweetness to the blend. Some of the modern Mac Baren Cavendish is added to provide a light, sweet taste with faint hint of tanginess. The air-cured Burley balances the recipe for a wonderful smoke.
The taste of Aromatic Choice is reminiscent of the flavor of ripe exotic fruits. It tamps well, smokes great, and offers a pleasant and relaxing time.
Characterisation:
The pouch of the Absolute Choice is made of golden yellow cardboard with an inside golden plastic bag, which looks quite noble. This is resealable, but if you want to store the tobacco but over a longer period of time, so you should decant the tobacco in an airtight container or equal to choose the larger storage tin. The tobaccos are uniformly light, medium and dark brown mixed, the cut is very irregular and coarse. Partly whole leaves are mixed in. The used Modern Cavendish seems to be a - if not so designated - flavor carrier, because when sniffing, the scent seems very sweet and fruity and reminds little of the usual tobacco flavors of a Virginia. The moisture is as promised by the manufacturer so that you can plugged the Absolute Choice immediately.
Plugging:
The Absolute Choice is like a loose Mixture plugged loosely and ending with gentle pressure, but you should be careful not to put the tobacco too loose in the pipe otherwise you will not have a good puffing.
Light up:
The Absolute Choice may take up to three flames until a uniform glow is created, as the larger pieces of leafes will rise up under the heat and want to be tamed with the tamper. But then Absolute Choice burns well.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of the Absolute Choice is characterized by an intense sweetness, which confirms the impression when sniffing that probably a casing was used. In addition, but also make the basic tobaccos noticeable. Soft Virginia roasted aromas and a light nuttyness attributed to the Burley blend are harmonious with the sweet Modern Cavendish. If you have carefully plugged the tobacco, the burning is,quite calm and even, leaving only medium gray ash and almost no condensate, so that the cleaning is very simple.
Redolency:
The room note of the Absolute Choice is tobacco-strong, but with a sweetish aroma, so that it should not attract attention in tolerant society.
Conclusion:
The Absolute Choice is described by the manufacturer as more easy and natural than it actually is. The coarse cut does not necessarily make it easier for the beginner to plug and ignite, and even in the smoke, the Absolute Choice presents itself as sweet, which harmonizes well with the roasted notes and nut flavors of the basic tobaccos, creating a harmonious overall impression. Assuming a bit of experience in dealing with even more challenging tobaccos, the Absolute Choice is also suitable for beginners due to its mild and uncomplicated aroma.
