Manufacturer Description:
A rich blend of full-bodied Black Cavendish, sweet Virginia, nutty Burley and a fine touch of spicy Perique. Deliciously flavored with a plum aroma.
Characterisation:
The Blue Blend 369 comes in a hinged box, which unfortunately is not airtight. In addition, the tobacco is packed in a repeatedly folded cellophane bag. Since its sweet fragrance, reminiscent of a fruity tea from Assam, penetrates, and despite the really good condition of the very broadly, light to almost dark brown wild cut an incipient dryness can be felt. So a rearrangement in an airtight tin is strongly advisable.
Plugging:
The Blue Blend 369 is plugged down loose and more solid getting upwards, as in loose mixtures usual. But one should not proceed too tight here, because the tobacco rises under the flame and the flake-like tobacco else trickles burning over the edge of the pipehead. This causes the Blau Blend 369 is recommended particularly for larger pipes.
Light up:
Due to its relative dryness the Blue Blend 369 takes the flame rapidly. The rearing tobacco should be gently smoothed with the pusher, then the embers makes no more problems until the end of the filling.
Smoking properties:
The Blue Blend 369 would be smoked cool, so it will not be sharp. If this succeeds, it convinces with strong smoke tart and sweet flavors that are reminiscent of toasted bread with plum jam, while the plums hide in the background. Occasionally, coming through a flowery, almost soapy touch, but which is never intrusive. Exploring these different, changing flavors makes the charm of this tobacco. Towards the end of the tobacco comes through stronger and a slight bitterness indicates that it is time to clean the pipe. This means to remove dark gray ash and some condensate.
Redolency:
The room of the Blue Note Blend 369 is rather unremarkable, slightly sweet and could therefore not be distracting in a tolerant society.
Conclusion:
The Blue Blend 369 is a precious, but not air-tight packaged light to dark brown, wild cut, which is smelling for tea and is particularly suitable for larger pipes. Enjoyed with the relevant patience and cool it convinces with the aroma of roasted bread with some plums and a hint of surprising perfume, creating a delightful combination. By its light to medium strength it can always be enjoyed, outlining smoking pleasure in both the experienced as well as the not so experienced.
