Two sorts of Black Cavendish, red and golden yellow Virginia, a hint of Burley and noble Virginia flake merge into a fabulous Mixture. Caused by the delicious, intense aromas of forest fruits, irresistible vanilla and exquisite plums.
The Festival Blend 333 is a Mixture of long fine cut, flaky tobbaco leaves and very narrow cut, finely grinded Ready Rubbed. The tobaccos are predominantly medium and blackish brown with some lighter proportions. The fragrance is penetrating sweet, fruity and reminiscent of plum jam. Since the Mixture between your fingers feels a bit damp, you should allow the Festival Blend 333 to dry for a while before plugging.
Despite the different ingredients that make up the Mixture, the Festival Blend 333 can be plufgged quite easily, if you're careful. So you start loosely down and ends with gentle pressure and thus achieves a fairly uniform burning.
The Festival Blend 333 is as easy to ignite as to plug. After the first flame, smooth the surface gently with the tamper to produce an uniform glow with the second flame.
The Festival Blend 333, like so many flavored blends, should be smoked cool, yet it does not show off very sharp. Keeped cool, the smoke is even creamy soft and of a mild content, which is very good for the aroma. In the foreground is the sweetness of plums reminiscent of dried fruit, with a fruity-juicy component, which can be attributed to the currant flavor. The vanilla is only present as a rounding hint in the background. In fact, besides the flavored Cavendish also the other tobaccos can be tasted. The nutty notes of the Burley and a mild Virginia of slightly hay. However, even with careful plugging, the different components of the Festival Blend 333 make it necessary to re-fire, which does not hurt the flavor. This holds until the last third of the filling, then the tobacco flavors are more clearly to taste, until finally only some unburned crumbs, medium gray ash and little condensate are left behind.
The scent of the Festival Blend 333 is also quite pleasant for non-smoking society due to the plum-flavored smoke.
Although the Mixture is relatively easy to be plugged and ignited, and smoking makes little effort, but you should not expect the Festival Blend 333 to smoke without re-firing. However, since this hardly affects the aroma and the tobacco is kept cool as a mild representative of the flavored Mixtures, this can easily be overcome. The combination of sweet plums with juicy currants is well done in the aroma and while the vanilla serves more to round it off, even the basic tobaccos with their hints of nut and hay are perceived, which will especially be liked by experienced smokers.
