Manufacturer Description:
Ripe harvest Virginia tobaccos are mixed in good manufacturer tradition and mature in the press for over three month to a bright, very mellow flake. Fresh, velvety, harmonic smoking pleasure.
Characterisation:
The Meistermischung No. 88 lays as unique slices of about 40 cm length, 4 cm width and 1.5 mm thick properly coiled up in the tin. The medium bright flake smells pleasing as fresh hay with a sweetly note. The tobacco feels peaty-mellow, but not dampish. The slices are inherently stable, but could be broken up easy for plugging.
Plugging:
The Meistermischung No. 88 could be plugged in any way. With the bend-and-folding-method, ready rubbed or as fluffy between the fingers drilled bowls. It’s only necessary to let the tobacco enough place to extend, it must be plugged fluffily. To relieve light up the last layer should be smaller tobacco crumbs.
Light up:
The tobacco could be light up well with one or two flames, whereby it tends to straighten up. In most cases damping down with the tamper will be enough, depending on the plugging method one or two more flames may be necessary.
Smoking properties:
The Meistermischung No. 88 is a Virginia flake with particular good-natured properties! The tobacco even doesn’t tend to bite on the tongue with less attention regarding the temperature. It could be controlled easily, so that it’s sweetly, but native tobacco taste can expand. The taste is constant to the end. Burning down is rather slow and with less condensate. The handling is easy until the end, when a balance of medium grey ash will remain. The tobacco is medium in strength, the taste is rather mild.
Redolency:
The redolence is native tobacco and slightly sweet. The Meistermischung No. 88 smells pleasing, discreet, but definitely as pipe tobacco. Where smoking is allowed this tobacco should be welcome...
Conclusion:
The unique flake slices, which are properly coiled up in the tin, are smelling pleasing native, for Virginia typical as fresh hay with a discreet sweetness. The Meistermischung No. 88 is a particular good-natured Virginia flake, which also will forgive thoughtless smoking. With a little bit attention and smoked cool it’ll show the typical nuances of high-quality Virginias with a discreet sweetness.
