Manufacturer Description:
Loose Cut Virginia from three continents, selected Burley from the shores of Malawi and a soft Black Cavendish in a contrasting mixture. Fine-sweet nougat flavors complete the taste experience with delicious notes of nut, chocolate and vanilla.
Characterisation:
The Danish Mixture Maroon comes in a pouch handy on the go, as well as in a larger storage tin, in which you can store the tobacco longer. The loose Mixture is dark and medium brown with lighter proportions. The tobaccos are broad and irregularly long cut. The scent is sweet and less reminiscent of a chocolate aroma than of peaches, which is surprising but quite pleasant. The moisture content of the tobacco is so balanced that you can plug it immediately.
Plugging:
The Danish Mixture Maroon can be easily plugged by starting loosely at the bottom and softer towards the top.
Light up:
Lighting the Danish Mixture Maroon is as easy as plugging. After the first flame, one can smooth the surface gently with the tamper, and then provide a steady and lasting glow with the next flame.
Smoking properties:
For an expressively sweet-flavored tobacco, the Danish Mixture Maroon is surprisingly spicy and smoky. Here you can taste the high-quality and tart-strong basic tobaccos. The nutty Burley harmonizes with the nut aroma, which can also be found in nougat and leaves a fine enamel on the tongue. The vanilla is used very discreetly and also the chocolate flavor is rather tender and not marked by exaggerated sweetness. Although not dominating the aroma is long-lasting and differs only towards the end of the filling for then more powerful tobacco aromas. The pipe should be kept cool, as the Danish Mixture Maroon can be a bit snappy on the tongue when smoking too hard. If you pay attention on this, burning is uncomplicated and leaves medium gray ash and some condensate, which are relatively easy to clean.
Redolency:
The scent of the Danish Mixture Maroon is rather tobacco-spicy despite the aroma, so the tobacco should rather be smoked in a smoking company.
Conclusion:
The sweet-scented Danish Mixture Maroon is an irregularly cut Loose Cut that offers a surprisingly spicy taste. The nutty and chocolaty aromas are also more of the tart variety and so harmonize with the stronger basic tobaccos. Experienced smokers, with quiet smoking habits, have the opportunity to taste a non-over-flavored tobacco that uses the aromas that support the natural tobacco flavor.
