Manufacturer Description:
Superb bright Virginia grades hand-blended with bulk-cured Dark Cavendish. Flavoured with original Scottish Highland cream whisky for extra smoothness. Easy to fill and easy to smoke.
Characterisation:
Opening the tin a mixture of yellowish, bright and dark brown tobaccos appear, which are partially in shorter and brighter cut. The smell reminds more to vanilla or caramel, than whisky cream, but the aroma is well dosed, so that the smell is unobtrusive. The fresh tobacco isn’t too dampish, but in good condition.
Plugging:
The Caledonian Highland Cream Melange No. 10 is easy to plug. Due to the different cuts, it could be plugged a little bit more compressed to get an optimal draw.
Light up:
Light up is easy too, because the tobacco doesn’t tend to straighten up very much. 1 to 2 flames should be enough.
Smoking properties:
The Caledonian Highland Cream Melange No. 10 shows very mild smoking properties. The sweetly, but unobtrusive taste is barley affected by the Virginia. The tobacco glows down good-natured without much attention, whereby it develops a little bit of condensate. It’s nearly to the end aroma constant and leaves a bright grey ash.
Redolency:
The redolence is dominated by the sweet aroma, but not importunately. Therefore the Caledonian Highland Cream Melange No. 10 is suited as a tobacco for most societies at nearly any occasion.
Conclusion:
The Caledonian Highland Cream Melange No. 10 is a light, mild tobacco with a sweetly aroma, which reminds to vanilla and caramel.
